I upped the contrast a bit and am really enjoying the more saturated look
I brought HDR Brightness all the way up, brought contrast to 1.08(I like it dark), and kept the brightness at 2.40, film grain is off and motion blur is depends on how I’m feeling.
Sounds good. Looking forward to trying it out, hopefully come weekend.
HDR brightness all the way to the max? And with contrast that high, you don’t mess up how it looks in bright areas such as New Atlantis during daylight? Pre patch I had lowered my TV brightness to 45 from default 50, looked great in dark areas but daytime just looked too dim and off too.
It’s interesting how GamingTech advices against changing contrast and yet I’ve seen plenty comments highly disagreeing with him. End of the day it’s all about what you like.
The sun looks pretty bright(see some of the pics up there) , but it doesn’t look washed out bright too me. And yes, it’s definitely about how you want to have it look, my current set up reminds me of when I used the photomode picture settings to take pictures.
Wanted to add, currently on Vesta and the difference between 0.80 and 1.0 HDR Brightness is not noticeable to me. Of course that could be because of how high my contrast is.
Also my fps on Vesta feels worse than before.
Yea still playing around with them but its much better then it was
Another new encounter, it has a the same story as another I did before but it was on a different system and a different alien.
This is a first for me. Killed an Ecliptic with a single headshot, and she didn’t fall over. Just closed her eyes and remained standing.
Must be stabilizing exoskeleton in the armor.
I came across this as well during my 1st NG+ run the other day, heading to the buried temple. Must be a bug introduced with the latest patch.
Not really. I had this happen once or twice pre-patch.

Does anyone know when the DLC drops ? Like the rough estimate of a window ?
How do i find these missions? Or are they eandom encounters?
Random encounters, I have been having good luck with a ship sign showing up on a system I’m visiting and deciding to check them out. As they’re just encounters, they tend to be short as they are in previous Bethesda games. With some small story from the environment or slates.
Just wanted to say I really appreciate all your pictures in this thread!
Thanks! the environment keeps giving me reasons to stop and take a lot of them.
Just had a glitch quest fix itself, this quest is a simple delivery from Mars to Jemison. I have done the quest before and usually she can be found at the Spaceport or commercial district.
When I wasn’t able to find her I decided to turn on the floating marker and noticed a dot up in the sky, away from New Atlantis, but not on the map. Several hours later I made the quest active and it was on the map, so I decided to the area only for the quest marker to fallout of the sky at about 80 meters.
Lucky either the quest rendered her unkillable or she has a hidden jet pack because I was able to finish the quest. Now I’m just wondering if she’s going to stay stuck in the wilds outside New Atlantis.
