Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

This isn’t true can you please stop acting like it is

sure

Same here.

Those tweets from Imran khan I believe that said Sony was going after studios of which games Xbox would brag about having on stage with them. I kept telling myself there was no way it was going to be Starfield.

Well…

As for that Grubb tweet, is he implying Sony tried for full exclusivity? And man, thank god the deal didn’t happen, maybe the rumor is true that this was thanks to Todd Howard. And even though Xbox honoured the deals for Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo, I truly wonder if they would have done the same if Starfield was one of those too. Had I been the one in charge I would have killed that deal immediately.

Well, that’s weird.

IMO there is no chance of this happened. There will be some technical issues or people not liking the main story that much, or the game not being pretty enough, folks will find away to knock it down into the low 90s or high 80s.

I don’t really think there’s a bias against Xbox.

We’ve seen a bunch of Xbox games recently rated very highly. Starfield is like the crown jewel, this is a game that will shift how all other rpgs do things in the future, it’s a graphical showcase, will have great storytelling and side quests and tons of amazing places to explore. There isn’t going to be anything on its level because there’s no other games with the ambition of Starfield out there.

There is more of a chance of Starfield running into issues that can vary on the people playing it more than any of those other type of games due to sheer scale and scope of the game.

And all that you said about Starfield was said about Cyberpunk 2 years ago so lets relax but hope for the best.

we are presuming a lot of things here lol. Literally no idea any of this is gonna pan out that great, haven’t seen a single second of game yet. Let’s not get into CP2077 territory with the hype and I say that as someone who still had it as 2020 GOTY lol.

Frown :phil_lmao:

wouldn’t get my hopes up for this one if I were you .

I feel pretty confident based on what we’ve seen and some “through the grapevine” discussions that this game will be a genre and generation defining game. I think a high 80s/ low 90s should be expected for this game and I’d be shocked if it doesn’t meet that.

I just want to feel comfy inside my spaceship floating in the middle of nowhere.

I think the game will have more space travel than anyone expects but not be NMS 2.0. So I don’t know what it will look like.

In the latest Starfield dev diary there were a few physical books on the shelf, a few were clearly physical versions of in game books, another was a book about time dilation.

Imagine a scenario where you’re on a planet for a few minutes and you travel back to another planet and you find out you’ve been gone for months.

Too ambitious? Maybe.

From reddit

One thing I’m super excited about in this game is the return of in game books. Reading the books in TES is one of the best parts. They’re missing from Fallout in favor of terminals.

I think your spaceship is going to be your main hub, between travels and on frontier planets.

Almost like a settlement you always bring with you.

Yeah that’s what I figured

I think what made Skyrim generational was the absolute legs and freedom it had to do whatever the fuck you wanted. Thats what made it one of the greatest ever because tbh the main story really isnt the main appeal of that game.

Imagine that game, but in space

What Bethesda has been saying is really true. The first half of their games are what they build. The second half is what the community makes. I’ve played hundreds of hours of Skyrim and have beaten the main story maybe once.

You mean mods?

Because I definitely agree about playing the story once, but all those other hours go into the side quests and every other side content there is, for me.

I’m going with 95+.

Even if the game has technical issues and is stiff and clunky (you know, like all their games) but does unique stuff like Skyrim did, those negatives won’t matter because of what else the game does and excels at.

Godfall has nothing to do with Sony. At best, they had a marketing deal for the game and that’s it. It was always meant to be a PS4 exclusive. Instead, it was released first on PS5. This can be confirmed by watching JorRaptor’s video that shows details and information on the game itself a few months after it’s TGA 2019 reveal.

Destruction All Stars is a 62 on OC. Currently, Microsoft has an 88.5 rating over 6 games while Sony has an 82.3 rating over 6 games. I also don’t see any Microsoft published game being rated under an 80 this entire generation.

To be honest, even if Sony did pay for Starfield to be timed exclusive for PS5, it wouldn’t have mattered because once acquired, Microsoft would have gotten out of that deal. Huge difference between BGS first new IP in 25 years and first main game in 7 years compared to Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo.

Cyberpunk 2077 was your 2020 goty…I like you.
