Yup, this is a next gen only title, probably a lot of people still on Xbox One S/X and so that might have helped FH5. Although there are now more Series S/X in the wild by now so it’s hard to say. Still, an awesome number and the fact that it’s a new high for Bethesda is quite an amazing feat, especially if you consider it’s not on competitor consoles anymore.

Well deserved and I love to see it. Seemed like the game was getting a shtload of hate from all sides before and leading up to launch. I imagine player count will shoot up a lot more this weekend , Todd and co delivered big time!

6 million players in 24hrs, give or take. Launched on a Wednesday. Watch it absolutely sky rocket at the weekend to over 10 million, then the PR hype off the back of that will pull Playstation owners over to the Xbox infrastructure later in the month.
Gamepass is mental considering it only has a peak player count of 280,000 on Steam.

Man I just did a literal 1 hr walking tour in new homestead and it was awesome. I paid a guy 100 credits to walk around all of new homestead and tell me historcial facts about it. It really was just a literal walking tour and was really fun.

I know this is going to be tough, but I would like to ask us to try and move passed all of the toxic discourse both industry and non-industry people alike are pushing right now. It has been extremely disappointing to see how war-filled discourse around this game has become. Please don’t insult people, or constantly call out crazy takes. It just leads to more and more angry discourse. Let’s focus on the actual game itself, the good, the bad, the critiques, the loves. It will make for a much happier/healthier forum. Just my two cents on things.
I try to not use green backgrounds often, and it’s not a hard “you’re banned!” rule. Just my hope for our site to move into healthier discussion around the hobby. Seen too many personal insults lately from fans and media alike.

I have said for a while that the second half of this generation would be amazing for Microsoft and the Xbox brand and while a year short of the halfway point, it’s started early thanks to Starfield!!!

I tried to install the DLSS mod for PC gamepass version, but it keeps on crashing before I can load the game

Only bug I really have is some geoligists stuck on my ship. I know how to ‘fix’ the problem, but its kind of funny so im just rolling with it.
Also wild seeing the well last night in new atlantis. I love that place and i had no idea it existed even 24 hours in…

I just did my second Zero - G fight today, this one on a ship that had it’s reactor damaged, so the gravity would turn on and off as I went through it fir a quest. All the items were constantly floating and dropping in random areas.
I’m 39hrs into Starfield and I love it! I just finished doing The Freestar Rangers and the UC missions. Damn the writing for these faction missions are amazing!
