My original plan was to be a law-abiding bounty hunter with a side hustle selling the ships of criminals I’ve hunted. This swiftly went out the window when a ship touched down on a planet I was surveying, and the occupants of the ship - very friendly colonists - asked me for some water as they’d run out. I made them pay 3000 credits for the water, then massacred them in front of their huge ship, which I then broke into (skill points in Security paying off) and flew off in.
My only problem now is I can’t sell the ship without registering it, and registering it costs almost as much as the ship’s value. I wonder if there are any black market ship traders I can flog future ships to, because I now have a thirst for murder and piracy.
I’m not even a Star Wars fan but it’s so easy to see mods built around Star Wars, enemies as stromtroopers, powers as force abilities, expanded space combat etc
I bet modders could make a damn good game from it too thanks to how solid the gameplay is
No, I found some contabrand(organs) on a mercenary ship, I was planning on taking the ship(decided against it) so I threw it out on the planets surface. Just returned to Jemison and got scanned everything was good.
Yep, now that we finally have an actually solid fps and even third person gameplay, modding different types of gameplay experiences should be more viable and exciting, how we got The Forgotten City from Skyrim, I believe Starfield will give us stuff like that but probably even more realized and fun to play.
It’s great, on the weapon department my only issue is no fist weapons so far. Punching my way through the game feels kind of a high level and good gear sort of situation.
I know how many missions there are and im only on main mission 3. lmao
Just go to New Atlantis as they will scan your ship. If you have Contraband on the ship, they will detect it and you can either leave, fight them or pay a $2000 fine if I remember correctly and wake up in their jail cell which is what I did. Wasn’t going to fight them with my basic Frontier ship. So you could try this and just sacrifice the Contraband.
Yes. Hold A until it “snags” and then you can release A and drag it wherever. Same process to move items around.
Note that if you’ve stolen a ship it will have all the dead bodies laying around, but once you register it to yourself they disappear. So don’t worry about spending time dragging them into a cargo hold or something. Like someone around here spent way too much time doing.
im starting space combat and oh what a surprise i need ship parts.
Do I have to carry the parts from the New Atlantis Comercial District to the ship? It is a bit heavy and it is a chore to walk all the way to the landing area.
Can the ship parts be manufactured in the early game?
Nice. Thanks for the tip. Would be nice for the game to actually tell you that you could pick up/move dead bodies. There’s so much that the game doesn’t explain to the player is baffling to me because if it did, there would be so much more awesome shit that would be known and seen.
Can you keep companions on your ship or at least outside the ship when doing a mission or will you always have a companion with you? I want to solo the missions and there’s always at least one companion with me that I can’t get rid of. Thanks.
I was able to leave Sam Coe behind but Emma doesn’t have the option. I’m doing a Faction mission. So I decided fuck it, I’ll take both of them since im forced to take one of them.
