Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

The main menu theme of Fallout 4 is bliss.

I agree that Jeremy Soule’s music is amazing, the music has always been a big part of their games.

In fact, am I misremembering or did Todd actually state that they begin game development with the music?

They’re available, but perhaps this could signal the quality of the game. It’s like me loving a game more than I expected and said “Maybe I should have bought the Limited Edition.” He does have the code and currently playing.

I think you talking about this video ?

They’ve talked about how the music started very early together with the concept art in Oblivion. Should be probably the same in Starfield.

I’d say there was a concert but it was for several games, there was the Starfield’s theme but nothing else i think.

Are you sure? i’ve been following Starfield’s music news and never found anything, only a playlist of songs Inon was inspired by but not any official Starfield track.

I meant that we’ve heard a lot of different tracks in trailers and the Direct.

In previous Bethesda games you discover quests because they are on the way to a destination of a quest. It kinda feels like a theme park. Sometimes you open too many.

In Space games the problem is the opposite. it’s is a lot harder to put quests openings on the way. You normally have your coordinates and get there.

I wonder how they have solved that issue.

I think it’s going to be a combination of planetside encounters and encounters in space that trigger quests (plus NPCs in the cities).

If you want to hear the music, I’m guessing it’s available now with the preload of you bought the upgrade? Personally I wouldn’t want to hear it, keep it all for during gameplay.

I think it’s still locked until release day.

Are wishlist numbers not a viewable thing, only followers?

Who even had doubts about a BGS game doing huge especially on PC. I’ll bet the game will get and remain on most played on Xbox as well for a long time.

I do hope there’s a good quest discovery system, I’d like for there to be natural discovery for damn sure, but I’d want some of the cool standalone-story quests (which seems like a great deal of focus) to be discoverable and not hidden or random, and I don’t mean that they should be offered to me all the time via Mail or Coms, rather there would be distinctive points of interest where if I go I know there’s a high likelihood I would find an interesting quest or a side questline there that isn’t necessarily main quest related.

That was the magic of Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout games. One big map, go explore and you will discover tons. It’s gonna be a bit more tricky with a game like Starfield, but I have faith they have some truly great stuff in here. Todd did call it Skyrim in space in all the best ways. Exactly that is what makes their games so special.

Yep, the greatest defining characteristic of BGS games is the exploration and discovery, I have no doubt they took all measures possible to adapt their philosophy and rethink it in ways to fit Starfield.

Hopefully there will be some exploration mechanic. In eve online you open a system view then you use triangulation with probes and start scanning .

Starfield Signal got a review code too. Gotta say, that surprised me.

It’s a fan channel right? Probably guaranteed a great review.

Lots of youtubers/personalities are getting codes, it’s not just reviewers so I’m not too surprised a channel like that got one

I’d rather him get it than lot’s of other ones out there

Kinda seems like a marketing (yeah I said it, lol) move as much as it is getting review copies out. Creators will be flooooding social media with Starfield content for weeks.
