Starfield and Redfall delayed to first half of 2023

Skyrim tier is a misnomer since Starfield is…

…going even further beyond.

they’ll just give Miyazaki a chair to sit on stage cuz he won’t be leaving for the entirety of the award show, just a casual sweep this time around.

Deep dive is pretty much a fact now. In the delay announcement they said they look forward to showing the gameplay of both games in a deep dive soon. And since the summer show is very soon…can only mean that.

I dread the word soon, like last year with Avowed but that was a different situation.

I can see Starfield getting some extensive marketing after the summer show, much more than just concept arts.

But what the point of the deep dive that far from release? We might get something like game play trailer similar to God of War. But deep dive? No reason to do that.

We don’t really know how far from release it is though.

so now that starfield and redfall are comming 2023 and those will be 2 big games I wonder if avowed gets moved to 2024 so they have one big RPG per year and dont release 2 rpgs in the same year. Also if they do release a big game every quarter starting next year I wonder what the other 2 will be. Im starting to feel despite what they are saying starfield will be Q4 2023. I fill like redfall will be 2nd quarter so that leaves Q 1 and 3

Starfield had no chance against Elden Ring anyway. No game could beat that for GOTY. Maybe that’s another reason it’s delayed(/s)

Guess its going to be BOTW 2 vs Starfield for TGA next year .

Yep, it could be a sign of a early 2023 release or so. Even if not and it’s June at the latest…a deep dive a year before release…why not. For BGS it’s a bit unusual but then everything has been unusual for them ever since announcing TES VI and Starfield.

… the first half of 2023 isn’t all that far away lol. they will probably show gameplay for games that release after that.

I would be BOTW 2 Vs Starfield either way because Starfield would probably fall out of Keighley’s deadline. :doge:

Absolutely not. MS need games.

Unsure if posted since thread moves fast. Anyways Miles brings up a good point you can’t be advocating no crunch and then get angry when games get delayed. I understand as consumers it’s frustrating but pandemic really messed up everything and have to respect all parties not implementing crunch so it could make holiday season

So now that both Starfield and Redfall are delayed. Are we going to have like 6 games release in 2023?

Starfield

Redfall

HellBlade

Avowed

Contrband

Maybe Everwild?

Literally no one knows that.

Of course but if I was a betting man ? Hard to not put your all of your chips into Elden Ring winning.

Regardless, it doesn’t really matter who wins or not bigger picture wise.

Sucks but I’d still rather they release it in a better state then buggy. I think this delay is the MS effect in action where if Bethesda did not get bought they would have pushed it out on the date given and then just patched it up later.

We can see directly how this helped Halo and Psychonauts 2 where both games were dramatically better due to the delay.

I hope they can squeak Hellblade 2 and Avvowed out this holiday to make up for the lack of Star field. Hope by mid 2023 all these studios start pumping out games on a regular basis and we are done with the COVID lag on games.
