I’m of the mind that it’s not at the show it doesn’t count.
The show has so many eyes on it, that after the fact it gets lost in the noise and discussion.
I think the only time something was announced AFTER a showcase was almost a decade ago with one of the Smash titles.
Like it was announced the last day of E3.
Was it Brawl?
dev video ? completely unnecessary if i’m being honest, it’s been year and half since the reveal. people want to see the gameplay and not this is a concept art and this is what we are working on.
MS should avoid doing that

Why would anyone be disappointed with tomorrow anyway?
The all but guaranteed list of:
- Halo Infinite
- Forza Horizon 5
- Starfield
- Something else from Bethesda (Machine Games or Arkane)
- Likely some other XGS project, either internal studio or external
That’s already a great first party show.
Throw in some GamePass drops and surprises, especially if one is on the scale of Outriders or more, a few surprise Indies and third party AAA reveals and it’ll be one of the best shows in a decade+ games wise, especially for Xbox.
If even one of Hellblade, Everwild, Avowed, Fable or Perfect Dark show up in addition to the above that would be off the charts.
Get a demo of some full on XCloud/GamePass integration or a Minecraft Series X update and you have a recipe for a nearly unstoppable show with lots left in the chamber for Gamescon and TGA later in the year.

If Hellblade 2 is being shown off in another making of documentary on Ninja Theory’s youtube it 100% confirms that Microsoft is truly hands off and not touching the studio culture.
If you go back, there was only 1 E3 trailer for Hellblade and everything else was done through Ninja’s Theory’s youtube channel. They did 30 developer diary videos.

I feel like I’m gonna give up on expecting a Persona 5 gamepass announcement tomorrow. I think it’ll happen but maybe not tomorrow.

That would open up the doors to studios like Fromsoft. Not that they’re not already open but some people seem to think so lol.
