Skins will no longer carry over from Call of Duty Black Ops 6 to 7

Perfect excuse to reuse older skins that are, or can be made viable, for the new settings.

So I’m confused. Why people are happy that many wasted money on one game and won’t see it again until replay old one? Wasn’t it long ago that people cried Warzone 1 didn’t carry to 2?

Because apparently for some they can’t handle Beavis and Butthead in their game.

I feel like this is just an excuse for them to charge people for skins all over again. Hopefully they learn from Battlefield that people don’t want Nicki Minaj in their game.

Personnal take:Still play couch multiplayer BO2 and BO3, bo7 nor bo6 sells dream to me, those games are too focused on draining your money and time

I’ve seen that people are angry about the collab skins, but yeah, I still don’t really get it. This is about skins that people have already paid money for or worked to earn. There’s also nothing stopping Activision from doing more collabs if those made Microsoft good money. All this means is less value transferance at launch and people are cheering. They announced the bare minimum solution that’s actually a net loss for consumers AND doesn’t at all guarantee that those vocal consumers even get what they want. I mean this in the kindest way possible, but certain groups of consumers seem like they’re part of the problem these days. Like I don’t even discredit that they take issue with the collab skins, but I also hate how people constantly complain about this stuff but don’t take any real action and then just leave it to companies to do the bare minimum or worse and get a pat on the back for it.

When they resell that skin we will know if they don’t want it, but something tells me it’s going to sell well.

Yeah, I think people have to acknowledge there’s a difference between the vocal and non-vocal communities and then those in the vocal communities have to ask if they’re in the minority or not. COD is like THE biggest video game out there. It is the yearly best seller and it’s competition is the likes of Minecraft (I guess it’s not competition anymore) and PokĂ©mon. Battlefield isn’t really on the same level. Now I don’t know COD’s population demographics, so maybe the vocal communities are representative of it and maybe when Battlefield 6 drops there will be a flood of players leaving COD because of the skins situation. Or maybe that won’t be the case.

This is a pre-determined plan disguised as a “We hear you
”.

Microsoft and Activision were probably salivating at the prospect of using the ‘backlash’ as an out and to make more money reselling you skins. Anyone who takes this message to mean ‘we are never doing another non-military collab again’ is out to lunch.

Yep. They’re spinning this as “returning to a more grounded tone” and maybe that will last for a little while, but the crazy crossover skins will absolutely be back eventually.
