Joe while watching Hellblade 2

“Looks as good as Horizon FW.”

Oh Joe…

This is definitely a 2023 or 2024 game, the amount of work and detail they’re putting into this will take a lot of time.

One example is having the actress who plays Senua train in combat for the last two years so the game portrays a realistic form of fighting.

The founder of Ninja Theory is Elon musk level of visionary for gaming, always pushing for perfection.

Definitely not 2022

Watched that Star Wars Eclipse trailer again, it gives you the impression at first that you’ll maybe be doing all that stuff too like light saber fights, fly around etc , until we see the Quantic Dream logo. Unless it’s not a game like their previous games we will probably only be walking around there and not do any of that, kinda a shame.

But a game similar to Detroit in that setting is still very promising.

To be fair release dates mean nothing because we have seen they can change and sometimes dramatically. We know from Grubb it is targeted for 2023 but obviously Xbox is not comfortable saying so, which is fair enough.

Its an action adventure open world game . Its a very ambitious project .They made alot of changes in their engine for this game . There are 300 people working on the project but they want to expand more . Wont be out for 3-4 years .

Info by Tom Handerson and that recent leaker .

Oh wow, that sounds very promising then. They are gonna need some talent for the combat then.

I now realize I didn’t post this in the thread about games in general, wrong thread. My bad.

Yep, Sony fans just can’t deal with playing second fiddle to anything. This made Horizon West look silly

I have to admit I didn’t like the HW tailer. I’m sure the tech is great for HW but I just don’t like the art style. The trailer looked a little silly to me.

I do think it looks damn good for a cross gen game though, that gameplay demo earlier this year was very impressive and very crisp and clean too. Really digged the part with the mammoth too and the destruction and all that.

But Hellblade 2 is just something else, it’s photo realism, it’s truly the next step and we’ve only seen this brief little bit, imagine the full game with many more environments and combat that we’ve yet to see, can’t wait to see it.

most people that love horizon ( and there are alot ) are not interested in a game like hellblade , hellblade is a more slow experience you have to pay attention to the details to understand the story , thats why they didnt show alot of combat during the gameplay , its not their focus while horizon is all about killing alot of types of robot dinosaurs and the story is not as complex

to be honest sony doesnt have a game like hellblade and xbox doesnt have a game like horizon ( not until fable anyway ) so they dont compete with eachother

Same team did the muscle deformation for Miles Morales too. Ziva knows how to leverage ML for animation.

Well it’s like The Flintstones with robo dinos which sounds like a meme on paper so yeah I totally agree that it looks quite silly. :stuck_out_tongue: :phil_lmao:

There will be 40 different locations in Hellnlade 2. The cave we see appears to be one, expect 39 more. This game will be massive.

Fanboys of that platform considers it the more “serious” platform, strange that I find HW art style very 80’s Saturday morning cartoon. Nothing wrong with that but definitely not “serious”.

I think it could make 2023.

Yea Hellblade definitely made Horizon look like a cartoon in comparison.

First Hellblade didn’t have complex story. It just touched on subjects rarely found in video games. Trauma from loss and mental ilness. Horizon on the other hand was more standard action adventure fare.

I always thought the robo dinos were cool, but it takes itself way too seriously considering the premise. That’s what ultimately makes it come off seeming “silly”.

It is funny though speaking in general, some really have a hard time admitting how great HellBlade looks. I didn’t even like the first game and I am blown away by what was shown , strictly speaking about graphics.

But certain individuals still running with the "downgrade " narrative and downplaying it as much as possible. They don’t want to admit that yes there are and will continue to be games on xbox that graphically compete and in some cases surpass what Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica puts out.
