I thought so LOL
Some even went “they can’t be trusted” clowns. They just don’t want to accept XSX can do these visuals.

Literally zero people should be surprised. It’s Ninja Theory lol

…ts to reveal that at their own Developer Direct type event early in 2024.
MS first party is currently groaning under the weight of announced games, so they definitely have enough to show for an early 2024 event.
The question is, does it always have to be first party? I’d be happy if they mixed up 1st party deep dives with one or two third party games coming to Gamepass. Just to spotlight some third parties and showcase Gamepass.
January/February Developer Direct
Hellblade 2 - gameplay and release date
Towerborne - gameplay and release date
Still Wakes the Deep - gameplay and release date
Harold Halibut - gameplay and release date
Some kind of COD update - introducing a COD studio to the world but also some kind of MW3 seasonal launch.
They could even use a DD to do a Halo Infinite update.
I would personally rather DD stay first party only. It’s part of why last year was so successful. They’ve got the Partner Preview now and various other avenues for third party/indie games.

Yeah maybe.
They would benefit from having a marketing beat every month. Something like:
January - Developer Direct 1 - deeper dive on 1st party
February - Partner Preview 1 - deeper dive on third parties
March - ID@Xbox
April - Gamepass show - 1st and third party games talk
May - SOMETHING ELSE!
June - Summer Showcase
July - Gamepass show - 1st and third party games talk.
August - Gamescom/Quakecon
September - Partner Preview 2 - deeper dive on third parties
October - Developer Direct 2 - deeper dives on games shown at showcase
November - Blizzcon
December - ID@Xbox/TGAs

Game releases also count as marketing beats, for the months where there is no event.
