Seoul=Newsis] Reporter Lee Ji-yong = Nvidia and AMD in the United States are expected to significantly increase the price of graphics processing units (GPUs) from January next year. The cost burden of high memory prices is considered a key reason for the increase in GPU prices.

The two companies plan to start a phased price adjustment over the next few months, rather than just raising prices once. As a result, the price of not only consumer GPUs but also expensive GPUs used in artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and servers can be raised all at once.

Just saw that this morning. Iโ€™m now semi tempted to get 2 RX 9070XTs on Marketplace while theyโ€™re cheap and upgrade both of our computers for the time being and make it last as long as we can.

This is really getting out of hand!

Yup, from the article the price increase is going to be on a monthly basis too. With AMD starting January and Nvidia in Febuary, likely a 10-15% increase(Iโ€™m assuming) for both condumers(which are getting it first) and data centers.
