RUMOR: New Halo Game Announced On Friday Will Be On PlayStation 5 (Grunt.Api via Rebs Gaming)

Yeah it’s gonna happen for sure, they’re already releasing everything else on PS5, why wouldn’t they do the same thing with Halo? I’m curious though, will they port the MCC, Halo 5 and Halo Infinite or just the rumored Halo CE Remake? I assume they’d start with the rumored Halo CE Remake since that is probably being developed for PS5 as well right now and then later they will port the others, depending on how far away the next mainline game is I think it would be a good idea to port MCC and Infinite to PS5 right now and try and bring more players into the multiplayer of those games, and make it cross play with Xbox of course.

If they have Halo CE Remake ready to go on Friday I will be so hyped because I’m off work that day, not that I’m expecting it to be clear but Xbox does have a track record recently with shadow dropping games, and not small games as we know, Oblivion Remaster is as big as it gets and that was shadow dropped, if the Halo CE Remake is like the Oblivion Remake I could see it getting the same treatment and that would be such a great positive for the Halo community right now when everything is so dry with news but I’m not complaining, I actually have liked this quietness from Halo Studios recently, I’ve been of the opinion that they should only speak when they have something that isn’t years away from releasing and they have significant gameplay to show, I understood why they showed the trailer last year though, which I’m sure wasn’t just for us fans but also to announce more developers out there they were moving to Unreal Engine 5 and hope to hire faster that way, or so I believe.

Talking about last year’s trailer, all it reminded me of was Halo CE and I’m almost convinced that that trailer was the real first look at the rumored Halo CE remake, I just hope that the art style resembles the original more than CE Anniversary did, which was too bright and earth like looking compared to the original Halo CE and just didn’t have the same eerie vibes, so I hope remake, if real, tried to capture that same tone again, the game turns into a horror game half way through! still the best plot twist I have ever experienced in any game.

Microsoft should release all of their games day one on all platforms. Dominate every storefront from within. I get all their games day one on Game Pass Ultimate so im good.

They should prioritized their ecosystem(their own console and pc as well as cloud) before thinking doing all games day one is going to solve all the issues they currently have.

User loyalty is far stronger than somer might think and given how they steped on a rake with the recent price hikes i would argue that they are in desperate need of improving the experience for conjsole users at the moment or whatever.

Am still gonna say day one games are there already but all of them makes no sense when you have to prioritized your own ecosystem. Maybe port after a couple months to a year or whatever.

Yes, i am still petty and it will remain that way until i start to see less toxicity within the gaming space towards anyone who likes to play on xbox.

I hope these things will be perfect (( artistic direction and high-quality graphics, ost’s , and the one-shot cinematic directing of the story events, just like it was in Infinite ))

While I felt the same way almost two years ago, I have let all of this shit go. I prefer Xbox. Their platform, eco-system, services, games, etc. is simply better than everyone else for me so putting their games day one elsewhere doesn’t change anything at least for me.

In general, I believe people need to let this shit go and simply enjoy gaming in general instead of worrying or being concerned about things that they can’t do anything about.

I get so much out of the Xbox eco-system, it’s insane and I don’t use Play Anywhere or Stream games. Imagine if I did. With their Xbox/PC hybrid coming eventually, I will pretty much have everything at my disposal all on one unit and no amount of staying the same with exclusivity (like Sony does even though they’re changing as well but at a slower rate) would be greater in any way, shape or form when compared to what Microsoft is planning on giving me (and consumers in general).

People need to realize that while his also applies to Sony, it applies to Microsoft and Xbox more, consumers aren’t going to them so you need to go to where the consumers are at which is honestly better because staying with just a “box” is simply going to stagnate your platform because you’re not growing, expanding, evolving or anything. It’s basically stagnation.

Those like me who want to stay on Xbox hardware because we prefer it will do so. For those who don’t, they can go elsewhere and pay what will most likely be $80 a pop for their games come next generation.

In my opinion, Microsoft is the ONLY company of the three that are taking risks, taking chances and trying to do something different. Sony stays as they’ve been with minimal change while Nintendo stays a decade behind. I own a PS5 Pro and outside of two games or so a year, I don’t play it. Just got back a Switch 2 since im expecting the price to increase after the holidays or in April after Nintendo’s fiscal year ends and all I care about is Metroid Prime 4

On the Xbox side, I play the Series X all the time. I get all the games I want and from a Microsoft published stand point, im getting 4+ games a year since 2023 while they’re releasing 6+ a year. All on Game Pass Ultimate day one which even if I had to pay $30 a month, it’s still cheaper than me buying the more expensive edition of the games I want to play and that doesn’t include the third party day one games. I also factor in Ubisoft+ which isn’t available on PlayStation and that saves me a lot of money as well.

Next gen, I save all this money, get every game I want and have multiple storefronts to choose from, why wouldn’t anyone want that? If exclusivity is more important than having all that at their disposal, then there’s truly NOTHING that Microsoft could ever do to win people over because their minds have already been set in stone.

As for user loyalty, if you’re a fan of something, it’s like sports. I’m a 49ers fan since 1989. I never stopped being a fan just because they sign players I don’t want or let players go that I wanted them to keep. If you’re a fan, you have to accept the bad with the good. Not just be a fan when everything is going your way because that rarely will happen anyway.

To each their own of course. My mentality is that Microsoft is going to give me what I have wanted since SNES/Genesis which is an all in one high end console and if I have to sacrifice exclusivity (which I already have) to get that, so be it because exclusivity isn’t worth even half of what im potentially going to be getting from Microsoft and their next generation hardware.
