Ave, the date has been sealed, Caesar. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will finally receive the ‘Return of Rome’ expansion that was announced a few months back during Age of Empire’s 25th Anniversary. This will port all of the first Age of Empires’ content into AoEII: DE and will include all of its sixteen civilizations. Coming to PC and Xbox consoles the 16th of May, per these tweets:

And for those that love to see how the eggrolls are made, Noclip of cutting floor fame is also working on a piece for Age of Empire’s ‘remarkable’ return to the gaming sphere. Per Daniel:
We've been working on a documentary about the remarkable return of Age of Empires. I'm a huge fan of classic AoE and the Definitive Editions so I've loved working on this with @Guarascia & @FrankHowley. pic.twitter.com/ezvNR3cjXB

It’s a good time to be a real-time strategist fan. Remember that all Age of Empires titles are currently available on Game Pass for PC and Xbox consoles.
