… Yes we all understand that and agree. Better tools, better tech allow for more potential. But potential is only as meaningful as the ambition of the artist. My 3D printers can create a lifelike bust of Zeus almost by itself. But sculptors thousands of yrs ago could produce exactly the same thing out of carved rocks. I think wrt REV there is reason to think their vision was not something too far beyond what could be done on X1/PS4, so I doubt anything was compromised in this case. Again, we all agree in general that visions could be held back by tech for sure. was mainly saying that for REV there aren’t indications that was the case, and honestly that is presently true of most games we know of. We aren’t in the real innovative stage of the cycle yet imho.

Of course great artists are required for great work, why wouldent this be the case?

And weather capcom have accomplished there vision, I dont know. However I would prefer they went a different route with a different vision, a next gen only vision, because as long as development bwent well I believe that a next gen only version would result in a better game, the same way I think rdr2, TLOU2, gears 4 are better then there prior gen entries.
