Yeh imo as someone who has been watching it really closely and listened to like 40+ previews it sounds like its coming together really well. No doubt the 30fps and no host story progress isn’t ideal, but if the game is stable and bug-free and I think the game is going to be mechanically very interesting.

Theres still a lot we dont know all that much about, like the side quest’s / characters, the cultists reclaiming outposts, the red fog, and the psychic spaces that grow and power everything in the area unless you tackle one of the nests. I think once all these plates are spinning and we are weaving through the streets solo or co-op everything will start to click into place.

Im just really hoping the game doesn’t get review bombed by critics because of the bad press. Similar to what happened to Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive back in the day (imo).

Sunset Overdrive recieved pretty good reviews, I am just hoping the game is judged for what it is, not what some outlets want it to be.

The only marketing “issue” was launching at 30fps which won’t have that big of an effect. The game received mostly positive reception at the actual play events, muh 30fps doesn’t change that.

Happy to be challenged on this. I’m not saying there is an insidious cult that systematically scores Xbox lower, I’m saying that a zeitgeist effect can impact subjective perceptions, rather than the product as it truly is.
