No, not everyone. But a lot of them attacking tall talers, fishing sloops, spawn camping etc. definitely are. Attacking the same ship which the third time beyond any doubt is not carrying any loot and don’t want to fight. You know the people I’m talking about.

Ehh not really, I never wanted to engage with other players while doing Tall Tales. everything else? yes. But then comes the fact you can still everything in the World while doing them. I think with the checkpoints they striked a good balance and that new tells often move you into a area without other players or are centert in a way you dont normaly engage with other players (edge of the map)

I’ve met quite a few people on the TTs, and had some cool encounters with people wanting to join in.

PvE is a terrible idea, generally posed by people who don’t play the game or people who got sunk once OH NO. Dragging passive people out of Adventure will increase the overall heat of servers and ruin the balance. Why would you create imbalance in the mix of people when it’s a game seeing continued success?

It’s a PvP game, it’s time people got over that after all these years.

I literally have had people camp by the fort just to take everything from us after we beat it and sink our ship…. TWICE.

It’s not an occasional thing, it’s like every other session.

Meh.

Arena never worked well enough. It was buggy, the load times were enormous and you more often than not had to deal with leavers or AFK crewmembers.

I know every Sea of Thieves threads [size=6]ends up in a PvE v PvP debate,[/size] which is fine. But I disagree that Arena failed because the PvP players preferred playing against easy targets in Adventure.

Adventure is just way more fun.

I hate that I can’t even pay for a private server like I can with Fallout 76 (another game which is “all about the MP”) so that I can enjoy the beauty of this game without my short session being ruined as I server hop or just constantly flee.

Wish I could enjoy the game, if only they made the actual sword and gun combat fun. For me that would go a long way.

I find it fun and quite complex to master there are lots of combat tricks, we can even throw a vomit jump to blind an opponent or collect boiling water from the Devil’s Roar and throw it into a hold when players repair their boat the hot water will do continuous area damage, there are lots of different fighting tricks in addition to the sword and the gun (you have to be creative)

It’s more that the combat doesn’t feel fun to me. Now this was a long time ago already but when I used the sword on skeletons it just felt weak…the hits didn’t really have an impact. I did however enjoy using the cannons on the ships.

But I’ll watch the video. Have they improved the combat or has it all remained the same?
