Mattel, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft have partnered together to bring a Barbie bonanza to Xbox players. Two Barbie-themed cars, the 1956 Chevy Corvette EV Corvette and the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup will be available to download for free for Forza Horizon 5 players. Simply visit the game’s message centre to grab these fabulous cars that Barbie and Ken drive in the upcoming Barbie: The Movie film that premieres later next month.
Xbox and Microsoft Rewards users will also have the chance to win this Barbie-themed dollhouse, complete with an Xbox wrapped in that eye-searing hot pink that Barbie loves so much. Alongside faceplates for controllers, Microsoft has also outfitted a number of dolls in Xbox gear, themed under their continued accessibility approach “when everyone plays, we all win”. The dolls will be put up as an international sweepstakes, while the console seems to be US only via Microsoft Rewards starting on the 10th of July.
Speaking of, a special livestream will air on the 14th of July, featuring a video showing real-life counterparts of Barbie dolls in gaming-related professions.
