I’m wondering if it’s possible to prevent the forum software from downloading and caching images embedded in a post. For things like TrueAchievements profile, game and now bingo card images which are dynamic it can cause a bit of a problem.
Hello, Yes, we can disable fetching and uploading images from certain domains. If you can provide the list of websites from where you are linking images, then we can have internal discussions and make some rules to avoid upload of images from those websites.

Wait, why would we block images from TA?
When you post an image from the web the forum software downloads and caches a copy in the site uploads. This prevents dynamic images like the ones I posted from updating as it basically captures a snapshot. This wouldn’t be blocking the image, just prevent it from caching.

We would not block them, we would just prevent them being downloaded from TA, then uploaded and hosted on the forums. That way, anytime you see the image it will be the recent one from the TA, not the one uploaded for the very first time.
