Agree on this from the point of view of improving the quality of the game. But I don’t think yearly games would bring any kind negative saturation condition to Gamepass

Its a huge strain on the resources the way Cod is currently managed. By moving the IP to a platform, MS can free up talent and devs and also retain the 30m people who buy every year, instead of losing a percentage if a game falls flat

CoD campaigns have been one of the best for me so far.

Loved modern warfare 2019, black ops 2020 was mind boggling to me and have the same experience with vanguard (world war themed CoD) which I don’t like any how because it makes me feel like ancient times

So for quality is ok and what I expect. They can keep releasing CoD on this track on yearly basis.

But, it seems unfair to Devs and The CoD community which expect More time less crunch and better quality standard respectively.

I’ll try to set my point of view: I glad to see more exclusive contents for Xbox because this means more appeal for the brand itself, more publicity and more subscribers along the way. Yes, COD would have been atomic as esclusive but we should consider this

1. FTC and others Antitrust Authorities Will check this agreements in every single terms. MS Is not doing “concessions” but It tries to appears as the good company without any desire to destroy 'directly" their competitors. This strategy will probably allow to MS to buy other publishers:

2. COD and Overwatch Will be multiplats due their nature. They Need to involve the maximum Number of players. Diablo IV Will be released also for PS4 but there aren’t any plans for a PS5 release. I’m pretty sure the next exansions or titles in this universe Will be exclusive for XBOX ecosystem. Diablo Is a PC game After all and the main base Is on this platform.

3. did we understand how many value ips MS Is going to purchased? And how many of them Will be exclusives?

Warcraft and StarCraft RTS: exclusives Warcraft and StarCraft: possibile RPG and FPS as Exclusives Prototype Empire Earth Hexen Spyro and Crash The new BLIZZARD’s RPG Sierra’s IPs: Paraoh, Zeus and Caesar. These are master titles for every PC gamers and they could be playable also on console. A new Caesar game Will be shocking for milion of peoples. And my idea would be: put Frontier (Jurassic world) to work on It

There are many titles that Will be exclusives for XBOX.

COD and some others Ips will be remain on other platforms but we have to see at the whole scenario and It Will be absolutely bright.

But it is just speculation until we see a binding contract type of deal

I personally won’t care about the destination of this train. Just want this Train to Stop at the Gamepass station (which is 100% case) and that’s it for me

Overwatch 2 being a platform since Overwatch 1 users still get access to the new multiplayer content for free means they have to keep supporting the game wherever it exists imo plus its probably good anyway to attract peipke to Overwatch League. Just hope they add cross progression in the game!

In this case, why should we expect a PlayStation version? Diablo IV uses a new graphic engine and i don’t think It will running smootly on PS4. There are not other versions beside Xbox One (for sure Series due the upcoming acquisition), PC and PS4. Maybe the similar situation of Psyco 2?

It could go that way, or it could go reynolds wrap headed Sik, OBM, Rand, Jez, Tavish and the vast majority of everyone elses way. Where Xbox plays nice and also maximizes profits keeping COD on Playstation for good. We shall see

And luckily I’m not rooting for either direction. I get the games in Gamepass either way, so…

I’m of the same mindset, I don’t really care what they do, so long as they do what is necessary for it to go through so that we can get more games Day On on Game Pass.
