Playstation confirms at CES over 30 million ps5 sold already

I think its going to take a couple of generations for streaming to takeover. I think many have to remember cloud gaming at the moment is very YMMV because it depends on location. Not many places in the world offer quality internet to provide a seamless experience with cloud gaming. Also, I’ve had hiccups with xcloud and had a bit better experience with Stadia tbh. However, Xcloud has improved for me though

Where did I say that would happen?

Oh, yeah. For sure it’s a viable option already. I was mostly talking about a future where consoles are no longer being manufactured at all. Where the technological bottle neck that are individual processing towers that are modern consoles have been removed.

People who want to game on specific hardware will probably always be able to do so via PCs. Streaming sticks/pucks/boxes will probably also be an option to enable streaming on more screens. But the modern console with all its processing power as we see it today? Not a chance.
