it’s a State of Play and not a Showcase so I’d just keep expectations in line.
Just hoping for a gameplay trailer and release date for Ghost of Yotei and I will be happy.
Outside of Yotei I don’t imagine there will be anything new, maybe some new port/remaster at most.

Would be nice to see some cool third party games of which Sony hopefully has no exclusivity on.
I genuinely hope overall that Sony starts to be chill with that, now that Xbox is basically being like…have our games. You kinda don’t have to act shitty anymore Sony, you’ve “won”.

For me, the last three State of Plays were mediocre. Between September 2024 (2), May 2024 (1) and January 2024 (2), I had a total of 5 games out of 37 that were shown for me including third party games. I got more games for myself personally at Keighley’s The Game Awards 2024 than I did in a year’s worth of Sony’s shows in 2024. lmao
The last great one for me was September 2023 which gave me 5 out of 11 games.
I’m expecting Yotei, Fairgames, Death Stranding 2, Lost Soul Aside and Marathon to be the main focal points. I only care about Yotei out of the five. I am hoping they finally reveal the Horizon MMORPG because I want to see the damn thing already. lol
Other than that, im expecting a God of War remastered trilogy, a few ports to PC and a few updates for Helldivers 2, Stellar Blade and Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition.
As long as I get that gameplay trailer and release date for Yotei, I honestly won’t care what else is shown or not shown for that matter. I’m already set for February, March, April and May. August through December will be a few more Microsoft published games and a bunch of third party games for me.
So if I can just get Yotei in late June/July, I will be perfectly content with that as a PlayStation 5 Pro owner because it’s my secondary gaming console for a reason. They don’t have much. lol

Unless it’s a game Sony is publishing, I don’t see third party publishers taking the exclusivity deals anymore unless Sony just overpays their ass which I guess is always possible but not likely to happen.

If they finally bring Uncharted ND Collection (1-3) and inFAMOUS to PC that would be far more exciting (for me) than any of the above 5 you mentioned 
.
On a separate note I hope that PS have a wake-up soon and go back to some of their older single player IP’s.
I’d love to see:
- Bend work on another Syphon Filter.
- Insomniac work on a Resistance.
- Sucker Punch work on a new inFAMOUS.
- Team Asobi work on a Ape Escape.
None of the above will happen but it’s nice to imagine

As for the above, I wouldn’t mind a new Syphon Filter or Resistance game as I have never played them. No interest in InFamous. Hoping it stays dead and buried as I didn’t like Second Son and even though I completed First Light, I really didn’t need to. Was never into Ape Escape and would easily prefer a sequel to Astro Bot since I loved the first game last year.
Yep. I have mild interest in it. If it’s an action/adventure game, great but if it’s a souls like or something, it’s a skip.

Yeah, I know. It’s why I wish for remakes or a new one.
A proper new Syphon Filter would be amazing but I don’t see it happening.
