Hey folks!
Perilous began from a conversation. BlazeDillon and I were speaking about how there hasn’t been a really great “Bridgework” style map since Halo 3. A playspace designed to let players just get straight in to the action.
Blaze set to work, utilising his design skills to come up with a n initial blockout that paid true homage to the greats - Lockout and Guardian.
Once this had been created in Halo Infinite’s Forge, I set to work in providing an artstyle.
Initially, we were thinking about going for something very guardian-esque, but as I iterated, we ended up with an overgrown UNSC outpost with a serious shroom problem.
We’d love to gather as much feedback from players as possible as we refine what we’ve got so far.
Of note: Currently the map doesn’t support Bots, due to a Nav Mesh Generation failure.
Please share your feedback and enjoy the map.

Beautiful map. Bridgework maps are an absolute favorite of mine.

This rules. The tree and fungus growing through the map is really clever, like the aesthetic also creates new jumps through the map. Maybe the best/most ‘actually playable’ arena map I’ve seen so far.

Sikimikanico has established himself as one of the best aesthetically pleasing artist in Forge today and has destroyed expectations this early with Curfew and now this. Immersion is excellent and the layout is rad as hell. Blaze has lit you on fire and its fun to see the results. Way to go Jon.
Kind words mate, thank you. Blazes’ design is f’ing incredible though.
