Outriders [OT] Journey Into the Unknown

Yep, we had annoying children last night so I was up and down until 21:45 where I decided to go hide in bed instead.

Mhhmm

Ran my first expedition last night solo and completed it under the 15 minute time limit. Started to get worried their towards the end as they just kept coming. But finished in 13 some minutes.

Than proceeded to finish up all the side missions and work on the accolades for my other abilities. Thermal bomb, feed the flames, and ash blast are done. Running a 3 flame wave and over heat with feed the flames for healing.

Working on the final side mission I had left which was the outriders legacy one. Somehow missed finishing it earlier. Let the room for a second and came back a realize I had someone join my game. Looked at the setting it was back to open so figured since it was open we could team up. Worked through the mission in that area and reran a few of them. Realized the past seeing is in multiple spots and if you don’t set it in the options it will revert back to open.

Gotten a few legendary weapons but only 2 pieces of gear and both part of the cannonball set.

Lots of bug fixes incoming, and they are nerfing bullet abilities.

I got a big trying to collect a reward on a side quest that crashes the game. Then I was trying to do another side mission and the server crashed. Loving the game but terrible decision to have it always online. There’s zero point to that if you are playing solo

Not happy that they appear to be nerfing my flame/fire bullets. That sucks. :frowning:

As a Devastator main, I believe I am mostly unaffected, but yeah, I understand that. Lots of people seem unimpressed with the way they are approaching balance in this game so far.

WT9 is so challenging and fun so far. Had a blast playing in that WT with a Trickster friend.

Dont know why they gotta nerf a PVE game lol

I wouldn’t want my class to feel lackluster, if it doesn’t have any special bullet ability, although

  1. I don’t feel that, so far
  2. I haven’t reached the endgame so it might be different then

If that was the case, however, I would prefer them to buff my class instead of ruining everyone’s fun.

Thats what The majority of the comments Ive seen are. Why not just buff the others.

Honestly I understand. Bullets are beyond op. In fact my buddy is doing double the damage while I avoid bullets because they are such a boring ability.

There where only two options. Either nerf bullets or buff EVERYTHING else. Given everything else is balanced the choice was obvious.

Because they had to buff everything and this could mess up balance even more. The goal of the game is to give players a range of options to experiment with and not a obvious one for all case.

I played four hours earlier and didn’t notice any difference with the setup I have been using. I’m on World Tier 8 and just hit Player Level 20. I have not lowered the World Tier at all and wouldn’t do that anyway since it affects the loot drops that you would get from side quests.

Outside of one instance that took me over two hours to get through but in turn, I discovered the setup that im currently using, the game has been very well balanced and challenging while also a lot of fun. Outside of snipers, I rarely if ever feel like I been killed in a cheap way.

It’s a shooter so of course, you should be using bullets. lol. I don’t think that they’re overpowered at all. I think it’s all been well balanced. I know a lot of people on Reddit are not happy because it’s a PvE game so no real reason to nerf anything. Slight adjustments is one thing but nerfing stuff can have a negative affect because while im having a challenge, I still feel like im powerful instead of being a weakling which wouldn’t be any fun.

I’m using a basic setup with Rare (blue) weapons and gear. I do however upgrade them so they can be at maximum level possible because I don’t want to be in a situation where im getting slaughtered like I was a few days ago in that two hour situation that I mentioned above to Grumpy. I don’t mind dying a few times but after a while, I want to feel like I can slaughter an enemy even if it doesn’t happen because that’s the fun and enjoyment of the game.

Most of all, it’s again PvE. It doesn’t affect anyone else how someone else plays the game or what their build is so that’s the main reason why a lot of people aren’t happy with the nerfs. Of course, I haven’t had any issues today despite thinking that I was going to so im happy!!! Hehehe.

If a certain class setup is above anything else it can create a problem. All you would see in game are always the same classes but the purpose of the game is to have a great variety of everything.

Again they choosed to nerf because it’s very difficult to buff everything else which potentially messes with the balance even more.

How do you know? You play alone right? I play with a friend all the time and the difference is crazy.

That rarely happens because not everyone is going to force themselves to play as a certain class if they don’t like that class just because it’s more powerful. I haven’t really seen the “nerfing” that was mentioned yesterday. Maybe it doesn’t involve the setup I use.

You mean the game is easier or harder? If it’s easier, it’s because you’re playing with someone else. It’s easier to focus on half the arena when playing with someone else or have one person focus on enemies coming from in front of you while the other person works on the enemies that are coming from behind.

I do feel overpowered against minor enemies but I should be overpowered against them. Mid-tier enemies give me some challenge and the higher tier enemies definitely give me a challenge. I died several times last night because of the different enemies that were being sent at me.

I don’t feel overpowered but I also don’t feel under-powered either but I have been constantly upgrading my gear and making MOD adjustments.

Outriders co-op is brutal. Doesnt help that the world tier levels up enemies but the difficulty spike for 3 players is insane. Couple that with awful connection issues and its unplayable in that regard.

I’m stuck with that giant spider in the volcano. Third phase of the fight, I get killed instantly… any ideas how to do it?

Are you and those you’re playing with leveling up your weapons? Like, im at level 21 but all my levels and gear are level 26 as I upgrade them with every level increase. Plus, they’re all Rare (blue) gear.

I had a few Epics but for gear, they never seem to include a health boost in the attributes so I rarely use them.

Don’t stand still. Keep moving in a circle while avoiding the flames in which you should be in-between of, thus avoiding the damage. Shoot the Spider while moving and hit those red bubbles on the Spider…will do more damage.
