MultiVersus officially revealed. 2022. Free-to-play. Crossplay. Rollback netcode

I dunno, this might work.

  1. Focusing on 2v2 is unique.

  2. Did they put a Game of Thrones lady in there?!

  3. Rollback netcode, dedicated servers, and crossplay <3

  4. Online features that Smash would never do like guilds.

  5. An original character wasn’t needed.

I’m alittle more optimistic now than I was a week ago.

Platform fighter? Eh…

This just makes me want Game of Thrones characters in Lego Dimensions instead.

Well, that game didn’t sell unfortunately

Xbox is really making a mistake by letting the genre sail by.

It somehow doesnt look as bad as i was thinking it would. Wish the characters moved faster though

Notable omissions: Mortal Kombat, The Matrix, Harry Potter, The Lego Movie

Get Emmet and Wyldstyle in there and then baby we got a stew goin’.

I think they’re inevitable. Wyldstyle for launch, Emmet later.

Has there been any platform fighter other than Smash that was successful? Curious to see how this pans out.

Cross play and f2p are both smart moves.

Brawlhalla is pretty successful! I put 90 hours into it a few years ago and had a fun enough time with it, just wish it wasnt so microtransaction heavy.

Brawlhalla and Rivals of Aether.

For most of the others, quality has been an issue. And IP.

Brand new developer, Player First Games. If WB owns them, that’s one more reason for Xbox to go for WB Games

Honestly, looks waaay better than Jez/Grubb were making it out to be, wtf.

Having Rollback and Dedicated Servers is also an automatic W. Plus the characters are iconic AND seem to be fully voiced.

Will be keeping an eye on this.

I don’t believe they saw footage, only heard about it. And it did sound pretty bad on paper.

I’ll play this

Game of Thrones would be good Mortal Kombat DLC. I’d really like to see that.

(They technically don’t own this one, but they work with AEW since it airs on TNT & TBS)
