Great review as always Jesse! game looks gorgeous and sounds really fun as well, I’ll definitely check it out as I love the genre. Game Pass 2026 in for an awesome start! 
Just started with Mio and it’s a pretty fun game, found an upgrade that increases the damage of the 3rd hit and got my ass kicked by the first boss for a bit. Have defeated the first boss, gotten the grapple , will be doing attempt number 3 on the 2nd boss and have found the crystallization robot.
I have also found some cores, but have yet to figure out how to upgrade.
Boss number 2 is down and found boss number 3, that’s going to take some work from me to beat.
I am loving this game. Cause I dont like souls style games or the mertroidvania games but this game has got its hooks in me.
The game is really hard for me and got my ass kicked by the first boss. I had to turn on the assist option where every time you battle a boss it chips away a little bit the next time you fight the same boss.
Dont know how long I will continue this but I really like this game
I will give this a shot. I love the Ori games, but found Hollow Knight too difficult.
Just defeated the third boss I found ( I went back towards the Haven to find him above), tough fight but once I got in the groove I was able to keep away enough to not be one shot when he gets to his second phase.
Also, just found a second damage upgrade, that once I learn how to upgrade my capacity and equip it will come in handy as it increases damage the less health we have.
As mentioned this game has difficulty options in the accessibility section, they should help a bit.
I found yet another damage upgrade, one that is permanent, this one is about finding specific robot bodies it seems.
This horse goat plant thing is going to be an issue, if I feel I have too much trouble with it I will try the area below that I need to explore/platform through.
I did it! that platform section was hard, but after multiple attempts and changing my modifiers for the max health I could, I was able to do it. Also haven’t found any more permanent damage upgrades after the first, but the hair pin slash and hair spin heavy attack along with the less health do more damage are making up for it. As the boss I just beat went down quick. Now I have to go back to the dual sword boss and try not to get hit and die in 2 hits.
Just got the second permanent damage upgrade huzzah! There was also no way I would have been able to get this one until now.
Edit: Just finished Mio - Memories In Orbit, I’m pretty sure I got the not true ending as I don’t know what I needed to do to get the real ending. I didn’t find all the candles and I couldn’t go into certain rooms because I didn’t have a way to do so.
The whole game is so good and I’m definitely going to buy it, maybe even try for the true ending. Also, the music is so freaking good!
