Experts assure that if an acquisition of this scale is not giving you return in the next few months after completition then it was a massive failure of a movement.

The problem is whe you are a 3TB$ you are not supposed to act like a 3TB$ company but makes everything possible to become as fast as possible a 4TB$ company. The essence of capitalism is that just being ok is never enough.

So if I understand this right - Microsoft argued that the temporary injunction should not be allowed as they’d be running Activision with limited integration, potentially reducing the need for layoffs and allowing them to divest the company in a functional state later if needed. The FTC is now arguing that laying off all these staff contradicts this, but Microsoft responded that not all of the layoffs are attributed to the acquisition (with the overall state of the industry) and that the company would still be fine should a forced divestiture occur.

Yes. FTC thought that ABK would be frozen and not entitled to all the economical life that any company is going through.
