Microsoft Gaming needs to be more flexible with their release dates

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle just released out of Advance Access. It’s a fantastic game. Incredible really. I’ve been playing it thru Game Pass on PC using the Advanced Access Upgrade and I’m in love with it.

Microsoft Gaming/Bethesda dropped the ball with its release date though.

Launching a full price game directly after sale season on Steam: Bad Decision

Launching a game that got really good critical and player acclaim directly after TGA nominations ended: Bad Decision

Launching a game on the same weekend as Marvel Rivals and (more predictably) Path of Exile 2: REALLY BAD DECISION

There are over a million people currently playing “the new hotness” on Steam which is Marvel Rivals and PoE2. I’d wager at least a couple 10s of thousands of those would have checked out Indiana if it released in a slower week.
