For me Tango closure, it is as stupide as Japan studios closure was for Sony. You need that kind of studios to make your identity. This is the worst PR of the year for a company that is truely a master of having bad PR.

I don’t mind the third party thing at all anymore. If they were to decide to make everything mp now, it’s fine. Make a cool next Xbox and let things simmer the fuck down.

The thing is that both things are connected. You make everything mp? You are greatly harming your already weak (sales wise) console and benefitting the other two, who most of the people already prefer. You know how this ends?
Anyway, sorry, I am not trying to convince anyone, this is a different topic and only time will tell. All good for people who don’t care about Xbox consoles though.

Naw Tango should’ve made the next Guitar Hero. Xbox leadership is blind to not see something so obvious. I really wish I was in charge of Xbox, stuff like this comes easy to me.

This, if Sayta anmd Amy so much as thinks this is wise than they are being bufoons of the highest caliber.
Not only that but, their would be an increase in prices overall and consumers would not want that at all. Also duopoly of the highest bitter, which is not something people should gleefully be hoping for if they value their bucks. Also am seeing that Steam are slowing starting to be a bit more competitive and i do not like the sight of that whatsover, since they have a monopoly in Pc gaming.

I somewhat disagree with people here thinking Xbox’s plans is to fully go 3rd party and for several reasons, many of which have been heavily discussed already so I don’t feel like reopening that can of worm. I also still think the brand is salvageable, but to give them the most chances they really need a well coordinated next gen launch and a clear path forward that really punches or else the status qui will be held, unless mobile really takes off as well as cloud gaming which we never know, it actually might!
As for people wanting to switch to PC, you might wanna wait a little. If we go by what Phil has been saying in interviews recently and what rumours are saying, your next Xbox might actually be a PC. Might not be the most powerful one, but if Xbox just lives inside of an app in a few years, you’ll either be able to go low end/low priced with an actual Microsoft Xbox console “PC” that plays Steam as well or all out on a custom build. But I really do believe it’s coming. The real question is how they’ll handle the transition but I do think it has potential of reaching a much wider audience than previous Xboxes and if they actually go that route, that to me shows they actually have a sound plan going ahead. We don’t know how the public will react, but while I speak for myself, I think it’s a very exciting proposition.

ya twitter/x people are saying they are worried about ninja therory after hellblade comes out. I dont put stock into this but thats gonna be another discussion point on every fame moveing forward.

If people are so concerned for Ninja Theory, how about buying the game as a show of support or be a part of gamepass? Instead this social media imbeciles are doing the exact opposite of what should be done.
The best way to support game developers is by doing that. Unfortunatly, we live in a world where people just play free to play game with game as a service elements.
Could that change in the coming years? No idea, its become a trend and trends tend to stay awhile.
Edit: i meant casual gamers and social media influencers.

People are talking about Ninja Theory because HellBlade 2 is launching in two weeks without any marketing and lots of pressure to be AAA when it is just the sequel of a previous niche walking indie game. There are many similarities with Tango and Hifi Rush. No surprise people have doubts and prospective conclusions.

Personally, I still think it’s crazy - based on the original game - that this game has so much riding on it.
Hellblade 3 is going to be based on PTSD NT devs got from people deciding to take out their anger at MS on HB2. If we ever get HB3.
Again, this just showed how few cared about the game before! You can’t be mad about what happened to a game you didn’t support

I havn’t talked about this to much because iv just kind of been watching reactions but overall it sucks. I understand some of the studios closing but tango gave you stuff you needed. Japamese games that while not for me still filled a hole in the xbox portfolio. Do I think this is comming from microsoft corp? yes I do but at the same time phil has been in charge of xbox since 2015 I think. At some point you have to look at all the rakes they step on and it comes back to him. im not calling for his job but they have had a lot of time to corse correct and I think gamers and xbox gamers just get fed up. Now when everything seemed to be falling into place you can your only japanese studio that made your highest rated game of last year. its a slap in the face to fans. Then you give this corpo jargon response last night from Sarah. Its so sad because Iv been so into this brand for 20 years and since december when the rumors of the games going multiplat started its been one slap in the face after another to fans. I know people are saying they had to do it just like they had to do it but sony and nintendo arnt making any of these moves and they are thrieving . xbox has done so much damage to its brand in the last few months its insaneand right when the moentum was getting going. When you have the hardcore xbox fanx (toxic or not) turning on xbox you did something wrong. When klobrille is about to give up you messed up. I dont get how people keep defending xbox in all this. How after 11 years is your marketing sooooo bad. sony advertised stellar blade for months before release. this week we got a few screenshots for hellblade. whats up with that
Now do I think the media is being unfair? 100% sony had layoffs and closed studios and nobody cared. it was talked about for like 3 days. Geoff didnt say anything but as soon as xbox does it he crawls out of his hole to say something. media bias is in full force and they see blood in the water right now. That being said as an xbox gamer Iv never felt at such a low point as I do right now and I think its gonna get worse.
People want xbox to go third party and maybe they will but people dont get what will happen if they do. Sony will raise game prices. raise upgrade fees, they wont have an incentive to push the limits of hardware because why do they need to? where you gonna go? xbox has created so much psotive change for gamers but without them its back to the status quo. I think xbox should either stay in hardware fully or just get out completely then maybe someone can some in and make real competition and not play nice. Playing nice and pushing that play anywhere life style( no console required bs) is part of why they are where they are today.
in short this week was hard for me as a xbox fan. Im not gonna lie I dont even like tangos games but I know the importance of that studio. same with arkane who games i did like. Just a bad week. im not attacking anyone or xbox and im not calling for people to get fired. just pointing out the incompitence. its just my opinion so please dont suspend me

Finally someone who see why Xbox leaving hardware is a bad idea overall. Also you have plenty of points to make which are overall understandable. I don’t think the higher ups give up hardware, since its an important aspect that help with new tech and improvements on console and pc and its very silly to think otherwise. Its also vital that the Higher Ups come out and talk about the recent events and own up to their failures as a company while trying to earn back costumer’s trust. Its going to be an herculean effort but it must be done.
