Xbox Live Gold been a requirement but aside from party chat and some coaster games with gold what have been the improvements to justify this increase?

This is the company with Microsoft Azure where economies of scale drastically reduce pricing on servers and this kind of stuff.

This is easily the worst move of the Phil era and all the shit they are getting is deserved and this will clean out a lot of the good press they have gotten over the last 2-3 years irrelevant of gamepass.

Perfect time to announce something big, maybe they’re going to announce the Zenimax deal being done. This is going to be pretty bad if they say all games are exclusive right after this lol.

I highly doubt this is going to change much in terms of console sales, imho. MS wouldn’t do this if they though the loss of sales would outweigh the money they would get.

it’s 100% a Game Pass push, it’s really bad optics but Game Pass Ultimate is still the best deal in gaming and now artificially even “better” which puts this whole thing in a weird spot.
