Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard Discussion Thread (Part 1)

Eh, it’s not played as much anymore but it’ll be shattered in two years max anyway.

Agreed. Xbox has tons of upcoming quality games.

His argument about not being able to buy the games anymore without a sub… those really are just non-worries. If it’s ever gonna happen that it’s only subscription services it’ll be farrrrrrr into the future. The option to buy physical and digital will be around for a long time.

Game purchases make a lot of money even despite (or probably thanks to sometimes) Game Pass lol

Wait to feel the impact of starfield. People don’t relize that yet

People who think Sony is going to rush out and buy a publisher to counter this move are simply delusional. Not only would such a move allow MS to counterbid, I seriously doubt Sony is in a position to freely spend more than half of their cash on hand while their stock is still taking a huge hit due to market uncertainty. They essentially lost more market value in a single day than they have in cash on hand.

live footage of xbox HQ yesterday

Fearmongering with no basis at its best. XD

But this doesn’t make any sense.

  1. Why would Microsoft pull their own games from the service.
  2. Why, if a game isn’t available on a subscription, wouldn’t they allow people to buy said games?

Microsoft (and Activision/Blizzard/Bethesda) have a healthy digital marketplace income. Spencer has said multiple times he believes giving options in terms of buying or playing via a subscription has the broadest impact.

Whenever they start doing Game Pass exclusive titles which can’t be bought on the Microsoft Store, then tobio can talk. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve harped on this before but it’s clear that to many people, it’s not enough for Sony to compete with MS, it’s not even enough for them to win, they have to utterly dominate, anything less is unfair and shouldn’t be allowed.

Sony is not going anywhere. They’re not doomed. PS5 is not Dreamcast. Just the possibility that Microsoft might outsell Sony for one generation is not reason enough to run around with your hair on fire.

People really wanted the Xbox One generation all over again where Sony humiliated MS. It’s clear now that that’s not happening and worlds are being shattered. Well we survived Xbox One, Sony fans will survive a gen where they probably still beat MS but just not by as much.

So you’re telling me Microsoft didn’t fly there and storm the building and say we’re buying the building if you like it or not.

Haha they knew MS would pay a shit ton that’s why they went to them.

Don’t hate the buyer. Lol. This week keeps on giving.

With this trajectory I think Xbox will at least be on par, with Zenimax only yeah, they wouldn’t have matched PS.

That’s how business works. Just like Sony will now just log on to Amazon and decide whether they want to buy Square Enix or Capcom.

Oh wait, I meant “gamer fanfiction” not “business.”

I seriously saw a YouTube comment that Xbox is self centered and Nintendo the least self centered.

Let me just insert these laughing ducks right here.

MS was highest bidder for shares, i think their offers was $95 for the share stock, Investors caved in.

This only occurred to me today after watching some reaction YouTube videos on this, a lot of COD YouTubers are talking about this and how it could be a Xbox exclusive to their most likely casual audience.

This alone could see people buy Xbox’s and move over before it even happens lol.
