He obviously just doesn’t want change to the status quo and is threatened by a MS that’s huge in gaming. A scroll into his feed and you’d know he’s a fan of PlaySation, who only recently started a generation in which they intended to kill off any real competition from Xbox :skull:

Where was all this “concern” when it came to Embracer group.

"Capitalism and capitalist companies bad"

“Obviously, I agree”

"That includes Sony and Nintendo"

“Nah I disagree see they make games as art and stuff and I grew with them so it’s totally not capitalism, it can’t be-”

TLDR to basically any argument against what MS is doing

  • Sony can’t afford to keep up with MS therefore it is bad
  • Sony shouldn’t be challenged because they’re the rightful market leader
  • Baseless fearmongering

No sign of him when Xbox was dying though.

Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel.

“Competition”. That’s the word these guys are looking for. Competition can feel unfair sometimes, yeah, for sure.

Undercutting competitors and using resources unavailable to others, leveraging the user-base advantage to make easy exclusive deals, weakening, killing of or close to killing off competition, it’s all Sony’s playbook. But because they’re not exactly top 5 or 10 richest companies in the world it’s fine they shouldn’t be bothered and other companies shouldn’t use their strengths :frowning:

I’ll always find it funny when people try their hardest to tell others how unfair is for other companies to compete with the market leader.

It’s almost like people act like Sony is some sort of plucky underdog and not a giant conglomerate, and to be a conglomerate Sony had to buy out smaller companies and out compete others.

Entertainment, Movie, Music “empire”. Effective monopoly on anime distribution in the West and maybe globally. But they’re underdogs who’re only in it for the art and entertainment :frowning::broken_heart:

Poor Sony, got here on the back of goodwill and the favor of gamers!

Yep. Sony the art house company. Their share holders are only in it because they just love creative works that much lol.

Or when Tencent bought Riot or Leyou or got a 40% part of Epic.

Crickets.

Or when Sonys practices killed Sega or Nintendos traditional home console business.

Crickets.

IIRC when Sony subsided their new console with their other business activities, bought a publisher to enter the market and priced Sega out of it they were in the top 10 of technology companies.

In all these dishonest talking points you can see who was a kind in the PS2 gen and had a jolly good time with his Playstation.

It’s all from the Xbone launch where Sony “became heroes” by not introducing all the bad practices MS was trying to do (while also introducing paid online themselves, but that was simply ignored).

He doesn’t even know that the FTC is the one handling it not the DOJ.

Got here through “organic” growth.

Only facts. Sony was once so dominant in the electronics market, they OWNED whole ass households with TVs, PlayStations, Cameras, Media and music players, audio equipment, etc. I mean my family once had a Sony TV, PS2, Vaio laptop, Walkman and a DVD player at once lol

People romanticized them so much, they were viewed as the elite, prestige brand to have.

In my opinion not enough was made about that as to how Sony basically artificially made Plus more attractive by including online play in it even though it was previously free. It really was no different to what Microsoft was attempting with the Gold fiasco by artificially making Ultimate look more appealing.

I dig what we’ve seen of the art style of this new Blizzard survival game. My wife and I were talking about it the other day, we both really love the idea of survival games. But most of them are so unpolished, ludicrously grindy/hardcore etc. A survival game with Blizzard world building, art style, production value, polish could be our next big game.

Damn what happened to the prestige of Sony’s first party? Microsoft acquires COD which all the people complaining have shat on for YEARS by saying “Yeah, that’s COD” whenever new gameplay footage dropped and now all of a sudden, it’s the linchpin for the death Sony and the games industry as a whole at some point in the near future when Microsoft decides to turn heel.
