Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard Discussion Thread |OT4| - Dawn of the Final Day, Deal is done!

Show a post saying otherwise.

It’s happening by next week, seemingly!

Activision ticked up 0.1% amid a report that the UK may make a decision on its review of the Microsoft deal as soon as next week.

The UK Competition and Markets Authority is on target to deliver its decision on the $69 billion acquisition of Activision before the Oct. 18 deadline, according to a CTFN report , which cited a source familiar with the matter. The CMA may give its stamp of approval beginning next week.

Tom and others said next week is the likely case, so I believe that’s right.

Assuming it gets approved, next week could be one of the biggest weeks in Xbox history!

I think the next one, if not anything as large as ABK, should be a lot lighter and relaxing.

Asutralia out of nowhere

I know its unlikely and they are insignificant at this point but would it be funny to see them go “I CAN TAKE YOU DOWN BY MYSELF!!”

Please MS close the same day

Baffled that Australia are seemingly waiting for the CMA. What’s the point of being your own regularity body when you just piggy back on the result of others.

So, like was predicted, CMA are going to green light this, maybe even next week. That all looks done. Only late punch now could come from the EU, but it seems to have gone all quiet on that front, again.

Oh thank God…

What’s with their cloud obsession? Taking grandpa yell at clouds too far.

Yeah this focus is on Azure and Amazon AWS

Thank God I’m wide awake for this one. That said I can see why they did the move with Ubisoft. Good Lord, they are a headache.

Most computation is moving into the cloud. Our entire world is going to be run from datacenters in the future. It’s probably not a good idea to have the majority of that in the control of a handful of companies.

NVM off-topic

Well, we don’t have to worry about that since it’s another topic altogether. Next week is still the main event.

Hear me out. What if they are having a huge round table with all the Xbox studios welcoming ABK: https://x.com/aarongreenberg/status/1710012191380791806?s=46
