Exactly what I’m thinking, consolidation is inevitable especially when game development is getting more expensive. However, new companies gets created at the same time, and those ones will keep innovation alive in the gaming space, grow the industry and create new valuable franchises/ publishers that can become big in the future.
I literally called out these examples, and the few others around that timeframe, as a major counterpart to the claims of consolidation in 2020 after the Bethesda announcement, and again in January of last year… as if the industry hadn’t already gone through at least three other similar phases over the last four decades. It was always the usual anti-Xbox bias shining through to create a beautiful veneer of bullshit.
I believe ABK will be trading in the stock market between $92-$93 until there is something more “formal” about the negotiations of MS and the CMA. Could go as low as $91 but I dont foresee it dropping below the 90.
Just for curisosity, could anyone who understand the market tell me the chances of the deal going through according to Wall Street? Again, just curious to know, its at $92.40 after hours just $2.60 behind the $95.
Thanks!
OOOOOOOHHHH THEY GAVE UP!!@ Nice! Finally doing something smart.

Took more than 18 months to finally see they were in the wrong.
Ahh ok, I must’ve never heard them mention the avatar connection before. Now it makes sense, thank you for that.
More like they’re doing this begrudgingly and still don’t think they’re wrong.

Fully expecting the FTC to file the suit again in 2 days.
That’s certain
And here I thought it had been “game over” for them since earlier this week. Yeah, I really don’t understand at all how any of this works. This is good though.
Indeed, Tencent and Embracer Group were words that didn’t grace the lips of all of these folks complaining now.
They’re like, “I just hate consolidation in the industry” and it’s like no, they didn’t seem to mind it as it was happening over the last few years with these other guys.
So for 50 years it wasn’t a problem. But it is now.
Toilet for me😆
it seemed more like he wanted to slide into Phil dms
I personally cant see the FTC withdrawing after the Biden admin came out with a boost of support. I expect them to once again stupidly pursue this.
