Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard Discussion Thread |OT3| - Sony bends the knee!

Today is supposed to be news from the FTC, right? (drop the case or keep it even though it’s dead)

When I see the xbox fandom Threatening Voice actors with rape because they happen to do voice work in a game that Sony money-hatted for a year , touching themselves inappropriately in front of an Xbox in a store in broad ass daylight, sending dick pics to developers, hiring lawyers and attempting to take Sony to court for their business deal , etc , then you might have a point.

Thank you… the obsession some have with proving some inane “both sides” narrative when the reality is anything but, is just… weird. Not all things are equal and life isn’t some zero-sum where the “bottom of the barrel” of one group automatically means another is the same :man_shrugging:

Which also leads to the next point, which I’m pretty sure the vast majority are aware of: I used bottom of the barrel intentionally as a reminder that the majority of Sony fans/gamers are lovely people who just happen to like PlayStation (and often other consoles/PC as well), just as are the majority of Xbox and Nintendo gamers. It’s important to remember that the toxic minority are never reflective of the overall population.

So the CMA will truly become alone.

yup the cheese stands alone as they say.

Don’t flatter FTC. They’re not even a real player.

Yeah any time the more zealous PS fans are mentioned and criticized the “both sides” people tend to come out of the wood work I notice , and to try and use King of all people as an example of this is funny. Who is clearly having fun with it to extremely toxic fanboys. Talk about disingenuous.

FTC never had a chance to begin with, they should have just done this in the first place.

Finally doing what they was supposed to do in the first place.

Settlement talks with the FTC should go like this:

MS: You drop your case and we’ll stop embarrassing you in court.

FTC: Ok, deal.

Microsoft has agreed to bring back Banjo-Kazooie and Killer Instinct. The FTC is now satisfied and has cleared the deal.

I would give them this

Summary

But it makes sense to have them in a, uhmmm, “good place” in the shor term I guess. Maybe they do plan to close in august and dont want to deal with their shenanigans.

And you my friend were right! We enter in the pause stage so lets hope the droo the case and stoo being a nuisance. Doubt MS will give them more than they have already offer so lets see how it goes.

Betting that Lina Khan won’t accept Microsoft’s offer to save face. Common sense doesn’t seem to be a quality that she possesses.

Yeah my girl thinks she is saving us from cyberpunk or something so I wouldnt be surprised either.

That or she ask MS to say sorry to sony and Jimbo for hurting their feelings or somehow make the deal woese for US consumers :v

Don’t “settle” shit with the FTC to allow them to save face. They got demolished in court and continously embarrassed with failed appeals, wasting money and precious time for Microsoft.

Finish things up with the CMA and close the deal, like they’ve earned the right to do in the US.
