Agreed. Turn the tables. Put the deal through and go full UK integrate. Spend 3 years litigating it. CMA won’t be able to cope nor unravel it.
i swear faber is like kramer where the opposite he say will happen
Translation: This is my copium.
I did say yesterday and today that there wasn’t a scope for the CMA to just accept a new remedy here…without some form of investigation. People keep ignoring that these organisations in the U.K. are bound by their regulations and process. They don’t have the room to just change their mind or break a process or written regulation. It’s not how it works.
It is what I feared though. The CMA got their delay to the CAT process but have no intention of just letting the deal through quickly. I think we have months to go unless MS will close over them but I think that’s highly unlikely.
Please don’t post things from this clown, hes a disgruntled former blizzard employee trying to find relevance.
I’m curious how your happiness looks like.
This dude again lol.
Someone with twitter should tell him.
As a gamer, it is good for me. I have Gamepass.
Maybe but I don’t think MS will have backed down from the CAT stuff without some kind assurance from the CMA that this is just a formality
It might not close by the 18th but I don’t expect this to take months
Something going on behind the scenes here. MS would not be played like a fool by CMA. They’ve paused the CAT appeal because they must know an agreement is forthcoming. I’ve been negative on this deal, but i do think they will close it by the 18th.
The way people post every piece of detritus they find on twitter gets really old. Twitter is not reality.
I think it will close I’m just not convinced it will by the 18th. CMA have said discussions at an early stage. There is a process to go through for them here. It’s a process that would normally take months so I’m struggling to see how they will shortcut it. The thing to remember is they can’t create precedents - they simply can’t. So they will have to stick to their own documented rules.
I wonder why the FTC are appealing? their case seemed so weak on paper.
Because ideology trumps common sense.
“Don’t worry, my lord Jim. I will do whatever it takes to win.”
Because they are morons hellbent on doing nothing but stopping this deal, it’s been like that from the beginning
No matter how much time and money they waste or how dumb their arguments are
We don’t know they are?
I am gonna assume we covered this here already?..
What? FTC literally has bo advantage whatsoever now… the PI hearing was their chance to prove they even had a case and failed on every count, just like they have with 75% of their cases this term. Not sure if this is the effect of not being in the US and have followed proceedings like this before, but this constant new concern is getting mind boggling…
Yes, it’s part of the pause in litigations.
