Early talk huh? Just give in.
Its time to release a news report that Microsoft may pull everything out of the UK so they stop being dumb.
Based on how the CMA has acted, I legitimately canât tell if this is an attempt to gain some negotiating leverage or an attempt to be hostile again.
Good, but Iâm in need of way more salt to be honest. Still waiting for some entertainment in the form of videos, lmao. I need the tears!
I wonder how many people in UK are buying fake glasses, nose, and mustache to hide the embarrassment.
AnnndâŚweâre back lmao.
Again MS just needs to close over the CMA. They are clearly not getting it and deadline is approaching.
If the deal is restructured, wouldnât that require new investigations in ALL jurisdictions? So itâs likely something that affects UK only.
The CMA would get destroyed in court just like the FTC, the government must have put pressure on the CMA, Microsoftâs PR campaign of the UK being closed to business gained traction. Iâm still betting on the new final report being done by next Monday with it mostly amending how the new proposed changes address previous concerns.
I donât know whatâs happening. I just know itâs stupid.
The CMA shit is so annoying at this pointâŚ
Microsoft if the CMA are playing around
Per Idas
âThere was a report from today, I think that it was the WSJ, saying that restructuring the deal could take some weeks. That could fit what the CMA is suggesting thereâ
This is so strange. From the CMA and Microsoft are in constructive talks to might need a full restart of the process in the UK? Doubt Microsoft are taking that and will look to close over the UK
CMA is nuts. They know the deal has to close or be dead, and they talk about another investigation. So much hubris.
MS is in no way prepared to restructure heavily the deal, which would imply approval of all regulators. CMA is really smoking. I expect tomorrow, they will say âwe are ok to accept the deal if MS give it up totallyâ. They try anything until it sitcks.
Since the talk is in early stage, I already imagine MS said hell no.
Microsoft would not have agreed to the pause if they thought this was a stalling tactic; If this wasnât part of the plan we should see a response from MS about it today.
Just gets to the stage when youâre just thinking MS, go nuclear. They are taking the P. They seem to have got their CAT delay and now want to drag it out even further.
This development could actually work better for Microsoft if they start the litigation up again. Because pausing it shows that Microsoft was willing to negotiate, but the CMA are not, theyâre literally doing this in bad faith.
Not trying to be disrespectful to those from the UK but Microsoft needs to stop entertaining a country that has a economy less than West Virginia. Pull your shit out or just close over them.
