Shouldn’t Brad Smith, Phil Spencer or Lulu be tweeting about this?

Magnifico!

They can’t even get the date right; they seem to be stumbling so much.

Would be wonderfully delightful if there are enough technicalities in the filings to have it rejected, similiar to how Apple won their proceedings.

Let me get this right the two countries who have blocked or are trying to block the deal are the two countries which have been working together closely and have been accused of collusion and all the rest of the countries have approved with zero conditions or cloud conditions.

How can so many countries be on the same wavelength but 2 think so differently.

I think the political and public pressure campaign is about to ramp up. Microsoft is now at 75% of their target for closing as far as Im concerned. The US hasnt actually moved to block and would not get a preliminary injunction (again imo).

The only thing standing in the way of closing is the CMA. Microsoft and the lawyers at ABK are about to amplify the pressure as much as possible because they are now on the verge of closing this deal ahead of schedule. Their lawyers have connections with absolutely everyone in the government and the monarchy, this is about to reach a fever pitch.

Basically what I said the other day. The CMA is increasingly looking like the odd one out and honestly rather than doubling down should rather be having some sort of self reflection.

Fun fact: if the CMA didn’t block the deal due to a political agenda, Microsoft would’ve closed the deal with the FTC scrambling to file an injunction.

Ramp up the pressure. Next steps should be

1.) Reinforcing that Microsoft is committed to working with the UK to constructively come up with a solution.
2.) Getting all your allies to write response to the final report. Try to get some politicians amd regulators to write responses as well.
3.) Come out with appeals that rip the arguments to shreds about cloud gaming. Come up with several procedural issues as well. Make that case look STRONG.
4.) Amplify the messages now more than ever. Stay in the news every day. Do interviews, get on UK TV, get politicians hammering them every day, get newspapers and journalists writing about it every day, get your partners publicly opposing.
5.) Push out every single portion of evidence you can now that refutes claims by the CMA, the 1st game on GeForce Now was great, now get some on some other services before June 19th.
6.) Reinforce with an interview that Mocrosoft and ABK are on pace to close by the original date and have numerous options on the table to resolve concerns in the UK or allow the concerns in the UK to proceed separately.
7.) Get the approvals from the other countries: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Turkey, South Korea.
8.) Use the above two points and tell the FTC that closing is imminent and they need to seek an injunction.

Re-negotigate settlement agreement to split out UK ABK so that MS only buys ABK sans UK studios. All IP goes to big ABK. Big ABK and MS merge. UK ABK stays independent. ABK game licenses is given for free to UK ABK to do as they please. UK ABK make for themselves the money for ABK games in UK. Contract out the UK ABK studios to work on ABK games in return for the free licenses.
