Wow so you shouldn’t mock a wrong decision. I bet you were cheering her when the deal seemed likely.
the cma makes no sense however they managed to delay the decision to 2024… let’s hope that eu approves
I may become a billionaire in the future, so let’s tax me under that bracket now just in case it happens to be safe
The meltdowns are interesting
It’s not, see the Mat Piscatella tweet I quoted earlier.
Uh…yeah no I wasn’t. I couldn’t care less either way.
Yeah BUT are you in a good position to become a billionaire?
If his daddy is
So do the French , given Saudi owns PSG
Regardless of this CMA shenanigans I still think it will pass this year might be ending of the year though.
I’m in a good position to go broke they should stop taxing me lol
Yeah, but the French can’t block it as easily anymore. Not saying the French can’t be corrupt, just am saying a Tory is more corrupt. .
Also: When in doubt, blame the French. Is a Tory tradition to escape responsibility for actions .
How?
I mean, the deal is on life support…we don’t know what the EU is going to say and if they block it then there’s no doubt.
I don’t see an avenue going forward but I guess we’ll see as this just drags and drags and drags sadly…
The anime-streaming market for starters, which is easy to research just how much of a stranglehold Sony has on the market after their acquisitions were allowed to go through without issue. OP’s statement is a bit hyberbolic, but recognizing the stranglehold Sony has on several markets - plenty of which has been outlined in Apple v Epic case as well as the current string of litigation and regulatory processes. It’s not “console warrior mindset” to recognize an effective or actual monopoly in the hopes for greater competitive markets.
This doesn’t make any sense to me. Most cloud gaming providers allow you access to your Steam/Epic/Microsoft library. The cloud providers are not storefronts. Plus, even if they were, barring some porting job being required, I highly doubt that Microsoft would be against allowing other providers access to sell their games.
If Steam takes a 30% cut, I don’t see why they wouldn’t allow Boosteroid, Nvidia, etc. to do the same.
What Microsoft won’t do, neither will an independent ABK, is spend resources porting the titles to cloud providers that require a bespoke version of the game (Stadia).
Can’t Microsoft temporarily abandon the UK cloud for ABK games and then appeal the CMA’s decision to fix this?
It can still go through!
I am now sure the CMA is in Sony”s pockets. Parroting Sony’s points at first, the ridiculous focus on Cloud (where Playstation is a tiny, if at all a player)… man, what a fucking mess.
To be honest I’m not even in favor of this merger happening. I would vastly prefer if MS actually spent and started to take other markets serious besides the US. As a portuguese that has been an Xbox fan since the very first one, and now living in HK, MS simply doesn’t give a shit about anything besides the US. Also, they should just focus on the studios they have, be more hands on and try to compete with Sony on the genres they’re strong at (they clearly sell). With the amount of studios MS has ,they can clearly have the quality and variety.
Anyway, this will drag on for a while, and I don’t have the patience to even follow this topic anymore. Activision won’t save Xbox and, in my opinion, those 70B would be better invested somewhere else.
Problem is, anything MS will buy will now be “YEah, but mah cloud gamingz!” by Sony and defacto they can drag it into oblivion. Precedent and all, while they get to buy up left and right as the “ARE GAMING!” in the minds of many of these geriatrics.
As @Doncabesa said earlier, be warned trolling or doomposting is just as unwarranted as sexist/misogynist statements about any of the parties involved.
