It seems Sony has the same reality distortion field Steve Jobs had.
Bingo. Decades of this shit engrained in their toxic fanbase, all coming from the top. Imagine the media if Microsoft did this? Itâs a shame that decades of this have partially rubbed off on other fanbases, too (RIP TheBrightestSun).
Hey, this is lowkey kinda funny though.
Especially when you remember what came after this
599 US Dollars
âEveryone will have two jobs to buy a PS3â
Sony wonât be giving Microsoft any money. COD players will be spending money on COD and thatâs itâŚ
Of course, though thatâs not what theyâve been saying over the last year.
To be fair this was Kaz Hirai who was a far classier leader for PlayStation (albeit slightly⌠eccentric?) & it was 2002 when humor with tongue-in-cheek messaging wasnât a huge deal - likewise fanboys werenât as toxic because adults knew how to behave better twenty years ago.
The man will always be a legend & the 2006 E3 is enshrined in gaming folklore at this point. I wouldnât want it any other way either i.e. âItâs Riiiiiidge Racerr!â. Aka epic.
But Jim Ryan isnât funny & the hordes of man-children whoâre absolutely serious in their toxic anti-Xbox outlook arenât funny either. When I see the literal hate Redfall is currently being bombarded with for example, then no, itâs not funny anymore.
Social mediaâs inherent issues with toxic fandoms & a PlayStation hierarchy littered with greedy hypocrites using that social media to their advantage means this has gone way beyond a joke now.
Yeah, it was definitely a different time. I remember Playstation running a fold out poster add in magazines that showed off all the great Playstation games and had the tagline âIf you still want a Saturn, your head is in Uranusâ. I remember thinking it was funny even though I was more of a Sega fan at the time.
Microsoft will get a % of copies of CoD sold on playstation. They arenât just giving them the game for free. Thatâs not including if Sony puts CoD on PS+.
Well itâs not money that Sony will be giving to Microsoft, not any more than âSony gives money to EA for FIFAâ or any other 3rd party game published on Playstation.
Wonât matter, this thing is as dead as rest of the firmsâ cases have been - the suit is born in bad-faith to begin with (shareholders of the company all voted in favor, for starters) and the fear of loss of access is unfounded.
Embarrassing.
I wish court tv covered this.
Do EE offer cloud gaming? Iâm sure itâs just the Xbox Game Pass they offer as a perk
They arenât fucking around, thatâs for sure.
