If i was MS and i knew starfield was ready for june. Id be telling ABK now to delay diablo and make it better.
That might happen once CMA makes their decision.
I donāt think diablo will get delayed unless the beta that comes out in a few weeks is terrible. Would be nice if it was day 1 on gamepass though.

Iāve seen a lot of people discuss that the CMA could only be appealed to CAT. Something that I really havenāt seen discussed is there is a different type of āappealā they could do. Microsoft could try to persuade the Secretary of State to overrule the CMA. Under Section 42, the Secretary of State can overrule the CMA for a variety reasons.
I think the CMA approves and none of it matters, but i just find it funny that stuff never gets mentioned as an alternative to CAT. We seemingly already had Satya and Bobby starting to appeal to that publicly talking about the UK becoming a desert for tech.

I wonder if there will be some political pressure by higher ups in the British government to accept behavioral remedies. Itās tangential to this acquisition but the UK and European policy makers are felt lacking when it comes to understanding the tech industry. Itās one of the reasons that the UKās most important tech company has decided to list on NYSE instead of in London which was quite a blow to the government:
