That format was good in parts, as I actually like some talk with developers such as for Moonglow Bay. But it definitely needs to be shorter and more focused for such a thing in the future. Having said that, there were a ridiculous number of cool looking indie games that I intend to play coming out of that including many coming to Game Pass and a couple that I will be buying such as 12 Minutes and Death’s Door. And I am super hyped to play some 2nd Extinction dinosaur hunting with friends starting April 28th! And we get to check out that wild looking EXOMECHA game in August too.
I hope Scorn is still for this year, wish they would have shown off it on this event
Hopefully XboxEra can create a video of the 20 games coming to Gamepass.- with some commentary.
I missed that one… I have (somewhere) a couple of novelizations of old games, and Blaster Master was one of them. Never played the game but did like reading it, might give this a try.
Reading on Wikipedia about the series (Worlds of Power), Eve was apparently created for the book and added into games later. Kinda neat.
Yea it would be cool for Xbox Era to do a recap and show clips and info of every game trailer/announced game
Is there a good place to see a brief rundown of the 4 hour marathon? Even just read about it?
Xbox Wire is always your best bet:
I’d like a list of the games like on Xbox wire but with a direct link you a youtube preview.
The ID@Xbox YouTube channel has every game footage shown at the event, including the Indies and Game Pass montage:
TA has a really good article on the show.
Very disappointed that Tunic & Last Night were not part of this. Are they both in ‘dev hell’?
The interesting thing is with CP2077 being a disaster, it leaves room for other cyberpunk games to shine. If TLN can come to market with zero bugs, that’s a big win.
I think they are probably gonna do a summer indie showcase too and would want some of the bigger titles that ppl know about already to show up there imho. The Last Night is in active dev but they are staying quiet on it for now. The Last Night, Scorn, Tunic, Martha is Dead are all ones I’m hoping to hear more about at some point.
I guess Tunic is vaporware
PROVE ME WRONG, DEVS
Last Night is basically done I think, Ms backed out of the publishing for this game, and I don’t think any other would pick after all the controversy.
I’m all in for The Ascent and interested in Astria Ascending (if there’s full voice acting), Second Extinction, Song of Iron and Stalker 2.
Skill up has given Narita Boy a 10 rating.
From the show for me it’s Nobody Saves the World, Echo Generations, Wild at Heart, Stalker 2, Second Extinction, Sable and 12 minutes. I might check out Hello Neighbor 2. Hope to see Tunic, The Gunk soon. Oh and the Ascent. How could I forget that one.
At first I thought the Wild at Heart was more of an artsy walking sim/puzzle game that probably wouldn’t have much in terms of gameplay. No I see that it basically looks like pikmin with a cool art style so I’m all in on that.
Tunic is my spiritual successor to Golvelius(Sega Master System). That is my dream game.
Hey friends, we put this article together at your request. A one stop shop for our favorite games and 100% of everything else shown as well. Includes indications whether they’re on Game Pass, includes screens and links to YouTube videos. Using the info, what would your favorites have been?
There’s also a video which only includes our top picks.
Amazing compilation. I had forgotten about some of the gems that you have mentioned here.
