Mafia : The Old Country has gone gold

It has gone gold. Which is good news, of course, although I still find it extremely strange how little gameplay they have shown so far. Just bits here and there. Hopefully it’s not a red flag because if this is good, I will buy this on day one.

Nice, nice. I still have 2 and 3 to play through before I get to The Old Country though  Really enjoyed the first game.

2 is great. 3 had immense potential because it does a lot of things right, but the gameplay loop really ruined it for me. Still, don’t take my word for it.

Yeah I’ve heard the third one has some issues with repetition? Cool setting though, so I’ll power through it.

I just finished the first game. I had to research and the game is nearly full blown remake instead of Remastered on steroid. Still, it’s incredibly impressive how much it transformed, especially in compare to Mafia 2. That all said I’m intrigued for the next one. I think the next one is to see where the franchise lies on.

Mafia 3’s strengths are the story/characters, music soundtrack, voice acting, time period and location. The combat is good and satisfying but due to the open world structure and setup of the game, it is the weakest aspect of the game.
