I think it would be more effective if they announced FPS boost with that bunch of Bethesda’s games.
The latest announcement for FPS boost is really exciting for me.
I downloaded Prey and Dishonored as my first two games to play with the Bethesda deal so now I may wait to get started. I just wonder what “soon” means exactly.
It’ll be nice to play Skyrim with an FPS boost while still having achievements unlock.
We agree on something!
I’m currently playing Sekiro and plan on playing Dark Souls soon…
So when those get immediately FPS boosted after I’m done with them, you’re welcome.
For me. I’ll be sad. (Just like how I literally just missed Skyrim)
Sekiro has uncapped framerate
Oh! Didn’t even know that.
My TV only does 60 so I guess I’ll have to come back for a second play through once I get a 4K 120hz tv.
I’m still running at 1080p:(
FPS Boost for the five Bethesda games is going live today.
Xbox is just a platform that keeps on giving.
Sure Phil, I’ll happily pay you 10 dollars per month if you pay 7.5 billion for the best first party studios in the world to release on game pass day 1, upgrade my old games, and release new third party games on GP.
If you don’t have Xbox as your primary console, you’re a weirdo!
They did, now it’s just they actually releasing
That’s really the difference between what xbox and Sony are doing.
Sony is paying developers to either make other versions worse, or to prevent the games to release on xbox. Both of which offers no advantage at all for their users.
So with such investments, the possibility of the audience simply not caring for this is higher (see many of the moneyhatted games bombing even on Ps4).
Ms on the other hand gives a tangible benefit to their users, and in return the users subscribe to their service more and more. And since Ms actions are tied to a service and not to a simple game any of the reasons that makes someone subscribe means more money for they to add more value.
That’s why we had all 1st party games day one on gamepass, EA play on gamepass, increased investments into getting more 1st party content, and now big 3rd party releases coming day one in such short amount of time.
Not a FPS boost from the BC team, but The Outer Worlds got a patch enabling 60FPS apparently. It’s 26Gb. I’m downloading now.
If so, it is one of the best BC day ever !! Keep them coming !
Hoping that when they go on Game Pass, Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider get a 60FPS boost too!!!
Let me say that Skyrim 60fps is just SUBLIME
And importantly for me, it runs better than using the 60 fps mod. Solid update.
Wow, Dishonored is now really fluid.
The misalignment of Auto HDR und FPS Boost labels if you press the guide button is slightly annoying btw. Have Xbox no UX Designers?
So what’s with Fallout 4 and 76 having to run at lower resolutions? I wanna play through Fallout 4 but how badly is resolution compromised?
Important to remember that this is not the same thing as a patch to upgrade the game to run on Series X, they’re just hacking the last-gen code to allow a 60 fps mode that the game wasn’t made for. So some games are going to have limitations.
Playing Prey at 60 fps, holy shit what type of wizardry is this.
True, I can’t quite make out what the resolution is. Did it ever run at 4K on One X? It feels 1080p but the 60fps feels incredible.
Fallout 4 runs at whatever resolution it came with lol. So something close to 1080p Id imagine.
