List of FPS Boost Games

I think it is an interesting point nonetheless.

Sony has to ask developpers from each studios to work on patches, unlike Xbox which is just a small team of smart and passionate engineers who work on batches of games to release slowly over time with limited involvement of the original developpers.

We know which way is the best. DF will have to do many videos like this one. We’ll see how it goes.

I think we know why.

Larry basically leaked Dragon Age: Inquisition at the 20:30 mark :stuck_out_tongue:

Larry’s statement on the comments:

As with all best laid plans, things sometimes change at the last minute. Titles included in this first batch of FPS Boost supported games are Far Cry 4, New Super Lucky’s Tale, Sniper Elite 4, UFC 4, and Watch Dogs 2. We’ll have more to announce in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned.

Sweet. That’ll be a nice little upgrade for Dragon Age. And if that points to Mass Effect Andromeda being part of a future group of upgraded games, even better.

I believe both EA and Ubisoft are going to be big partners of Microsoft on FPS boost. Can’t wait for the next batches!

AC origins and Odyssey would be great in 60 FPS.

  • Borderlands (All)
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • NieR Automata
  • Devil May Cry (All)
  • Dead By Daylight
  • Gears (All)
  • Halo (All)
  • Tomb Raider Reboot Trilogy
  • Sonic (All)

I guess you mean the 360 versions, Wars, the Assault games and Halo 5 ? Because MCC has an update already for Series X|S. Although I do hope that Halo 5 gets the FPS Boost and can be made to run at 120 FPS.

The 360 versions I doubt will get updates, but just an extra smoothing over MCC (and 5) to really clean up some of those minimal frame dips.

Want those games to look and play as amazing as possible as soon as I have the chance to get a TV that supports 4K, HDR, and 120fps. Lol

I just realized that New Super Lucky’s Tale is running at 120 FPS in a 4K resolution. That’s insane

It looks and plays absolutely awesome on the Series X based on my time with it so far after the FPS Boost!

I think Ms is researching hard in always that they can improve every single game. I wouldn’t doubt after most of the library being covered that they go into game specific attempts to have 100% of the library enhanced (be it fps, resolution and assets through ML).

Keep in mind that MS big play here is xcloud. Doubling the fps instantly makes cloud streaming better (specially once they are able to go even above on next consoles). Increasing both fps, resolution and asset quality makes streaming a compelling platform against other platforms.

Having as close to 100% as possible of the insane library they have access on Xbox across all generations, in a way that’s great to look and play on xcloud is a differentiator no other competitor can even begin to match at the moment.

I’m certain we will be seeing a LOT of investments in getting those games improved.

I ran into my first bug using it last night. I started Far Cry 4 since I have never gotten around to playing it. I booted the game back up and once it loaded it there were a bunch of black squares on the screen where the hud elements were supposed to be. It looked like big pixel square missing. I rebooted the xbox and it was fine after, so no big deal.

Far Cry 4 is so great to play know. It’s like they unlocked an easy mode. Headshots are so satisfying. If all Far Cry games are pushed to 60FPS, what a fantastic way to replay them. Imagine Far Cry 5 at 60 FPS…pfewwww.

This is super cool, I really appreciate the work the engineers put in. These titles don’t do anything for me, but the concept is great and I hope they can implement it in a bunch of stuff! It’s still subject to dev approval, right? That’s the only thing that’s kind of tempering my enthusiasm.

Yeah, the devs need to approve a game to get the FPS Boost.

Thanks for the clarification! I’ve been kind of out of the loop lately and I don’t wanna get all excited about something before reality slaps me down

Starfield could release this year, or definitely next year. Wolfenstein 3 has a chance of releasing this year too, still rumors though. But probably otherwise next year. I don’t think we’ll be waiting years for it.

Well, Max Payne 3 still isn’t BC.
