Last Call: Nintendo Switch 2 Hope/Expectations

The new Mario Kart makes me quite happy.

The upgrades for some existing games are cool, but as expected it won’t be free. There will be upgrade packs, but they don’t mention the price.

Had this been Xbox…this would have been free. MS doesn’t get enough credit for that.

Games wise overall so far, aside from MK I don’t find it super great.

Sony attempts to buy From Soft. Instead From Soft releases Nintendo exclusive. And it is Bloodbourne 2.

Didn’t see that coming.

I said I’d eat my hand on paid upgrades so I’m looking for some salt and practicing typing with one hand. Paying for the tech demo is utterly bizarre.

Info coming out suggests price is $449.99 and Mario Kart is listing at $79.99 USD

that would be beyond disappointing and wholly unexpected.

It’s not a day one for me. Because first of all, where is the price?

I will try to sell my Switch, see how much I have left to pay for a S2, because I kinda don’t want to miss out on Mario Kart World with my friends, but…

It’s not enough. Kirby looks cool, we’ll see if it’s good. Donkey looks nice, didn’t blow me away though. Metroid did look nice. Third party games as expected didn’t look as crisp as Xbox and PS5.

Switch 2 over USA is $450. I don’t know about the game but some of the detail is scaring me.

$80 games and paid resolution upgrades? Is this the Sony Switch 2?

Remains to be seen how much it will be here in euros. Ideally it’s the same in euros for the console, but when I look at the PS5 Pro it isn’t the same at all as in dollars.

Funny thing is I will be buying the GC controller before anything else. I still have nightmares of trying to get the N64 controller during the pandemic.

I’m sold on the system but I’m not going to kill myself trying to get it. I’ll have it this year.

Elden Ring looked janky. That is a review I’ll be paying close attention. Not because I will buy it, I own it on the XSX, but it will really showcase power or a lack thereof.

Amiibos on SF6 are going to sell 1 trillion units and outsell GTA6.

I think I win

In France:

  • Switch 2 = €469.99
  • Mario Kart = €89.99 (Digital €79.99)
  • Donkey Kong = €79.99 (Digital €69.99)
  • Pro Controller = €89.99

It’s a shame, lol

Oh how clever.

Nintendo trying to Wii U themselves again.

The amount of disappointment and lost interest Im seeing elsewhere is unexpected.

No seriously. People needs to have owe you an apology arc with Xbox for Game Pass like now.

The Kart bundle being $500 would indicate the Kart isn’t 80 though right?

That would be a crazy jump.

If Nintendo can afford to sell Mario Kart for that price, you can bet Rockstar won’t hesitate to sell GTA6 for $100. Take Two was the first publisher to raise the price of its next-gen games with NBA 2K. I think PC and GP will become essential for many players.

How the fuck is 90 euros normal for a physical game?

Never forget:

2K does it: Insane! How dare they! No way anyone will pay $10 more for any game!

Sony does it: They have all the right. They are gifts from God, so I will gladly purchase one or even two.

My biggest frustration with gamers is how hard they argue online for price increases.
