Better than the closure and i hope it works out for them with Krafton.
This seems a bit odd to me. It wouldnât surprise me to see an article about Krafton shutting Tango down in a year or two, when it turns out that most of the team has left, theyâre costing too much money, they still have nothing in the pipeline and Microsoft isnât quite as dumb as people like to think.
I really hope Iâm wrong, of course.
Same, I really fell in love with this game.
Finally some good news in this rotten to the bone industry with all the studio closures and layoffs that happen lately. Really happy for Johanas and the rest of the team!
Tangoâs output was amazing and Johanas is a super talented director, good to see that they will be able to continue to make great games!
Now I can guess media outlet next question is how this came about as they were to believe it was closed down and never coming back. Truth be told, I am curious about it as well. Doubt we will get an answer, but one should ask. Still, this is the more welcoming how it started, how it ended event.
It seems Microsoft gets to keep the publishing rights for their previous games, so they wonât leave gamepass. Future games most likely wont be on gamepass of course, but current games are safe.
Hope HFR2 and their other games do well ,but I feel they were in a tricky spot. They made good games, but people just didnât show up tbh. So, hopefully that stuff changes for them
I hope for the best. Glad to see tango rise from the ashes. Cause man did MS do them dirty.
Hifi rush was my favorite game from that year.
This is much better than a total closure, so Iâm really happy for Tango ! I wouldnât be surprised if this was in the works since the shutdown announcement.
At least Game Pass is an option. If they want to, they can. I know Callisto said no and well, where did that get them. If I were them and have a bit fear, Iâll put the sequel on Game Pass to play it safe and see how far it will go.
It might be safe to take gamepass or PS+ bag, but they better not make an epic games deal. We all know how bad that usually turns out
I did read it one of the articles(possibly WC) that thereâs some form of partnership with Krafton moving forward so Xbox will likely publish their new game (Hi-Fi Rush 2).
I must admit I still need to play Ghostwire Tokyo properly but I would be interested if itâs just Hi-Fi Rush or the other IPâs have moved to Krafton too. Maybe a new Evil Within for example.
Excellent news!
No idea, but I am happy at the possibility of their being a HFR2 at all tbh. God forbid we have more creative and fun games that take risks in this industry. As for all the righteous indignation I heard from many âgaming Youtubersâ who were so keen to bring this up in their crusade against Xbox and Gamepass( along with some that used it as fodder to shit on Xbox game showcase despite how many great games were shown off, Matt Mcmuscles) will surely breath a sigh of relief over this one and not bring it up every chance they get whenever xbox shows off a new title or has any good news.
Also I am sure that it will sell gangbusters on the PS6 and Switch 2 because that is what I am always told anyway so that will definitely be an expectation.
Great news for John Johanas and the team at Tango Gameworks!! Also, Hi Fi Rush 2 is pretty much guaranteed now. Letâs go!!
However, im not a fan of Krafton and have zero confidence in them up to this point. Would have preferred to see Focus Entertainment or Annapurna Interactive acquire Tango and the Hi Fi Rush IP but seeing as how this is an AA IP, hopefully Krafton doesnât get in Johnâs way and letâs him and the team cook!!
Fingers crossed that Krafton learned from their past missteps with Kalisto Protocol. Just let the devs cook and put out great games.
Thatâs great news!
I am curious how that works a couple of months after the studio closed. Do they somehow get a lot of people back, or were they still working with an expected closure date coming up?
Itâs odd to me as well. The game didnât do well at all, and Krafton doesnât seem like a publisher that takes chances, but perhaps like someone said there is more to it. They certainly could use the art style for PUBG mobile or to do a spin off campaign.
