16 will come to Xbox. I’m certain of that. 7 remake still up in the air. Though stupid not to.

I don’t put SE on anything. The amount of ips they ignore and garbage they churn out. Unforgivable. But they did put DQ11 and Octopath on xbox. Octopath isn’t even on ps4 yet.

I don’t expect it to come to Xbox honestly. If it does great but buying a PS5 later on is not a deal breaker for me.

My biggest concern is it being rewritten and updating combat. I don’t want it to be another action rpg. I understand that is what’s popular right now but it’s not what I want out of the remake. I liked the games combat the way it was. I am also one of those people that likes encumbrance in the Fallout/Elder Scrolls games. I also prefer the systems in Morrowind over Skyrim. So far as the story being updated I have no idea what changes they plan on making so I’m reluctant to say much about that outside of being hesitant to see any major changes.

In the end I haven’t seen enough about the remake to to be excited or disappointed by it yet. I like the idea of a remake for KotoR but I’m waiting for execution before making up my mind.

It’s different because FF7R isn’t on PC yet, but KOTOR is coming to PC day one. It’s likely it’s just a year for this one.

It’s not publishing outright, just the Playstation version.

So they are not paying for development, just actually publishing on Playstation

They will change the story for sure, because not only there are writers but the lead one doesn’t even like the first game XD

My predictions for changes:

  • Bastilla will not appear as a slave at the beginning,
  • Bastilla will not be corrupted only for the male NPC to have to save her
  • The romance with Bastilla will no longer be forced, optional instead or maybe taken away
  • The aliens will speak perfect english
  • HK47 will be reconfigured to be more like C3PO

    • This one would particularly fucking suck. Some more dialogue was needed but it was a cool immersive choice.

    My fears:

    • More MCU style humour
    • Forced tie-ins with the Sequel Trilogy to handwave the plot craters in that Swiss cheese of a saga.
    • Revan will be full wish fulfillment OC
    • Meta style jabs at Star Wars tropes.

    I’m hoping this is not the case but it is Disney Star Wars we’re talking. Outside of Filoni/Favreau’s stuff, the campaigns for BF2 and JFO and Rogue One, it’s been kinda rough imo.

    Imo JFOs campaign/story was pretty good. But yeah outside that, gotta wait and see what the remake would change up to fit with Disney star wars.
