Oh wow. Didn’t know that. I never played the original so im hoping they add to it as opposed to taking away from it.
That might not be good at all usually changing the story of a remake leads to backlash this remake sounding worst day after day. It is still 2-3 years away though so hopefully they get their shit together. Aspyr is not someone that i can truly trust with something like this but im open minded let see later if they Aspyr can actually pull this off but nothing they have done so far make me believe that they can do it though.
It might be to make it more canon.

I dont know why people assume its just a 1 year thing. Its been like 17 months and FF7R is nowhere to be seen on xbox.

Yeah, to make it canon, they would have to completely change the Sith and it’s history.
Yeah, I have seen people speculate that it could be anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Just have to wait and see.

On this subject, I heard this recently that there is some conversations/concerns about this games writers. And I’m not gonna lie, my first thought was “wait…there are writers for this game? Why the hell are there writers???”
Switch would probably struggle to run Original KOTOR at this point.
Its got nothing to do with Sony. Its a SE property. SE probably feel its not worth putting Vanilla FF7 on PC and Xbox so they accepted another deal for Intergrade with Sony for PS5
And this time its 6 months only. This game will certainly come to PC after that. Xbox? I think it will but maybe not.
The Issue is I think the PC version will be EPIC only. Because SE loves money.
It does not make sense, FF15 sold more than 1 million on Xbox, the port would not cost nowhere near that. If they don’t port it on Xbox they are stupid (possible considering their continued failures) or paid for not doing it. Lol
I wouldn’t put SE on a high pedestal as a future-proof and sensible company. XD
