Announced via Xbox’s YouTube page, Nexon-developed KartRider: Drift will launch on Xbox consoles early March, nearly three years after its initial closed beta on the platform. A free-to-play kart racing game that is played all over South Korea, KartRider: Drift is essentially a remake of the original Asia-only KartRider (whose beta came and went in the west). Drift is cross-platform, cross-region, and cross-save across PC and mobile where it is currently available for download. The games ‘first’ season pass will launch alongside this Xbox version. A ‘pre-season’ pass is currently available for the aforementioned platforms.

I had positive thoughts on the closed beta and am currently enjoying the full release quite a bit. It is casual enough for anyone to pick up but offers a tough to master drifting system. More information on the game can be found on the official website and below. Wishlist it on Xbox here.

Welcome to the newest free-to-play title in the popular multiplayer racing franchise with over 300 million players! KartRider: Drift is the only free-to-play, cross-platform kart racer where arcade thrills, the fastest drift fueled skilled competition, & deep kart + character customization in stunning Unreal® Engine 4 graphics awaits you on the track.

Challenge your friends across platforms with no barriers, no Pay Walls, & no Pay To Win elements preventing you from having a great time while topping the leaderboards. Created from the ground up for dynamic, online gameplay there’s new content being added regularly and huge content updates every Season. No Limits.

Which E3 was it where we saw this game again? Lol

Maybe 2019? I think it was at a “normal” E3. I could be entirely wrong and not remembering the past decade pandemic time though…

Non, it was X019, so yeah 2019

I myself have always wondered about this title and what happened to it. Might check it out if its free, but currently got enough games on the trot at the same time
