With Steam Machine having both PlayStation and Xbox exclusives, it is inevitable.
Basically, they’re the delayed Xbox’s Path journey.

Man I would hope that in 2025 PlayStation players would be ready to accept sharing their exclusives with PC. I remember the royal freakouts from several years ago over it. 
It’s an opinion from Jez, to be clear, he obviously has no insider infos on this, but I guess he’s suggesting it is coming for all their future games.
If you space PS and PC releases even by 4-6 months, people lose interest and marketing is long past.
Anyone with any fiscal sense knows this. It’s when, not if.
The console market is not growing in total number of users and each user has a limit to their spending. MTX and subscriptions have driven most of the revenue growth over the past decade. There is a limit to how far that console-centric business model can go in revenue growth.
This is why Jim Ryan said during the ABK FTC trial that cloud will become more important to Playstation in the 2025-2035 timeframe. And why live service games like Hell Divers went multi-plat.
Getting more people into their marketplace and subscription services is what they need. They can’t anchor it all on the prospect on getting one expensive piece of hardware in as many homes as possible.
